Great for my bettas
Really easy to assemble and the quality is good. It fit perfect in my aqueon 20 gal long. I wanted a black divider so my two bettas wouldn't see each other and get stressed out. It's been wonderful. It's a little wobbly sometimes when you're cleaning but as long as you're extra careful it's sturdy enough. For those with snails: this will fit all the way to the top of the lid if your gravel is about 1-2 inches thick. So you don't have to worry about bettas jumping or snails escaping to other sides. Mine sits high enough thanks to my deeper gravel and is flush with the glass canopy lid so no snails escaping!

Perfect Divider!!!
Works like a charm!! Fit snug and no chance of crossover of fish. Perfect for my 20 gallon long tank. Now I have a 15 & 5 gallon tank soon to be home of a giant betta & regular betta. Take your time and follow simple instructions…piece of cake!

Review for use with shrimp
I was very excited to get this product in - although it would divide some fish, I really needed to make sure the adult shrimp couldn't go between the divided sections (long story short, colored shrimp can't interbreed with different colors or you get brown offspring). There are just a few holes as needed for water flow, BUT they are quite large. Sadly, this is not going to work out. Wish I knew this before the hassle.A review on getting it into the tank: This product is best set up when the tank it being set up at the beginning. If not, you will need to clear away your plants, root tabs, and anything clinging to the glass for about 6 inches (6x12 inches substrate are going to be disturbed across the bottom glass in a 20G long, trying to wedge it in at an angle and then bring it straight. It is super tight with little room for error. Depending on the substrate, it can be a little difficult to get the divider to touch the actual glass bottom all the way. If you shove it part way into the substrate and cannot get it to touch the absolute bottom, either edge of the divider will not go under the plastic lip of the Aqueon tank. Then it will float away since it is not secure. Very frustrating, but keep trying. It seems to be made of a sturdy foam board and plastic. I'd love to keep it in the tank, but the holes are just too large. Wish I understood this before. Would be fine for betta fish.

Fit perfect
Took almost a week longer then expected to arrive. The divider is definitely sturdy and fit right into my 20g long easily enough. However, I want to preface this by saying I think most dividers would have this issue, there is about an inch or maybe half an inch gap between the top of the divider and my flat glass lid.Since the point, like I’m sure most betta owners, was to split my tank for two male bettas (was trying to cut down on tanks. This kind of sucked. I woke up in the morning and on male had squeezed himself (idk how they do this) between the lid and the top of the divider and managed his way to the other side. I’ve removed some of the water to see if that’s makes a difference. But to be fair, I don’t think any divider would be any better in this regard. 🤷♀️

By far one of the best dividers put there.
I had the pleasure of testing these dividers when they were in development (2 years ago) and they are by far one of the best out there. They are very sturdy and limit the amount the bettas see each other (which reduces stress but promotes flaring).
