Failed internally in 4 years and 1 week
Tonight our Dining Room lights dimmed momentarily and the Cox cable connection went out. I looked in the equipment cabinet and the UPS panel was dark (normally it reads line voltage). I moved the Cox modem, router, etc from the UPS to the wall outlet and everything came back to normal. After 4 years and 1 week this Tripp Lite UPS failed internally with no warning. I knew the batteries had lost most of their life but I expected the AVR and other functions to continue working. The replacement UPS will not be a Tripp Lite.By the way, we have a Leviton whole house surge protector and it showed protection was still enabled. And we didn't lose any electronics. So the Tripp Lite UPS died on its own, not from external causes.

Unit rated for 450 watts couldn't carry under 350 watts total for even a second.
Switching was incredibly slow. So slow in fact that the power cycled on my small 3D printer before it audibly clicked. The 350 watt Meanwell power supply usually carries enough power on it's own to run for a second or two when the power blips to it, but this completely useless UPS was so slow that a few second brownout was enough to completely derail everything. Several hours worth of printing shot right down the tubes by this craptacular product not doing it's job. Checked to make sure I didn't have the battery side overloaded, but I didn't. It had only that one 3D printer on it and that was all. The power supply is rated far below what would be needed to overload the rating that this UPS is supposed to carry. DEEPLY Disappointed. It tried to cycle back on, but the inrush current of the printer's power supply was enough to take it out. THERE WOULD NOT BE INRUSH CURRENT IF THIS UPS WOULD HAVE SWITCHED IN TIME LIKE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO!!!!

TERRIBLE BATTERY LIFE!
Home user here. I use UPS primarily to prevent shutdowns during minor disruptions. Unfortunately, I had a major power outage over the weekend that lasted for 48 hours. Since it was Sunday afternoon when power failed, I was present when the power failed so I began shutting off the computers and the UPS connected to them. This UPS shut off with 2 battery bars (out of five) showing before I could shut down the computer. When power was finally restored I did a battery test and it as advising battery replacement. I purchased this UPS in March 2017 so the battery has been in service for less than 38 months. A VRLA battery should have a lifespan of 3-10 years. The UPS operates in a well-ventilated, temperature controlled space. I generally have reliable power, and the AVR feature should mitigate many low voltage situations, thereby reducing the number of discharge cycles. That a battery in an AVR-equipped UPS failed in 3 years just shows that the OEM battery was a piece of trash. I guess I should be happy it lived this long past the 18 month warranty. To add injury to insult, the UPS manual does not even provide any information about the batteries or instructions for replacing them. The manual says "battery replacement should only be performed by qualified service personnel." As an electrical engineer, I think I am qualified to remove the two spade terminal and replace the battery. I will not, however, be buying the battery from Tripp-Lite so they can't sell me an overpriced piece of junk battery.

Unit does indeed restart after power restored
After unplugging from AC, and allowing loads to drain the battery, I plugged the unit back in after maybe a minute. The unit turned itself on, and powered the loads, just like I and many others want. I have seen several reviews complaining that manual intervention was required after power was restored. Not so in my experience. Maybe this flaw has been fixed.

Excellent product
Typical good quality Tripp Lite product. I needed a low profile unit and this one is perfect. The reorientable display is a nice touch.
