Switchmate Rocker Snap-on Instant Smart Light Switch That Listens

Doesn't work. Simply put.Tried 4 switches around the house . And another home's switches... Each of the switches have slightly different switch height profiles. Tried to mount with or without the adapter that it comes with. Doesn't toggle at all. I tried adjusting the mount positioning. I physically held the product forcibly in place. I even temporarily modified the adapter to have more height to get more leverage...... No good.The magnet itself isn't very strong too. So while it's toggling , it falls off.Immediate return.I needed this because I have a specific switch that's on a 4 way. No smart switch can handle that. So I wanted a low tech mechanical solution. Too bad, this had promise but just doesn't work.

My problem: remembering to turn on and turn off the porch lights. I either didn’t remember to turn them on, it looked like no one was home and I came home at night to a dark front porch, or I turned them on and forgot to turn them off in the morning as everyone was rushing out.Solution: this thing turns on and turns off the lights with the timer, simple!I’m not too keen on the other features such as voice activation and controlling it from my phone even though I installed the app, however it does what I need it to do and does it well.For the money, it does what they say it will do and the installation wall was super easy.

With changes made in Goggle Home, this device will not work anymore with Google Home [I got notified after I contacted SwitchMate support].That said, the web site gives no support, the video on the home page doesn't work [tried 2 browsers], the instructions in the tiny install guide [with tiny print] doesn't correspond to Google Home - even if it did work with it.The box says "Less Than 1 Minute Install". True if not using any app.Also has Bluetooth connection issues. Would disconnect repeatedly. Had to remove the device and then add and it would be good for a short time.Returning....

Its was easy to instal, good product. It took me a while to download the right app because there are 2 apps named 'switchmate'. I only use it with the app, I don't use it with a google home, that's why I have no problems with it. The only thing i would complain about would be "its loud". when you switch it to turn on/off, the mechanics make it loud.

Who wants to buy a smart home switch that only works with Bluetooth, nobody. App won’t even let me connect to switch, says feature is coming soon. Do not buy this switch.
