Game changer, I didn't realise how much I needed this. I've paired mine to Alexa. Not for nighttime!
I bought this because our new puppy was shedding hairs and the house looked dirty on a daily basis which was driving me mad! For context my ground floor is all hard surfaces and open plan.Summary pros and cons for a quick read:Pros -- very easy to setup and get going- Easily navigated my entire downstairs, barely missed a thing- Using an Alexa IR controller you can set this up for voice control (I'll be reviewing the one I've bought soon, so check my reviews for info)- Returns to charge base without problem every time- Easily goes from hard floor to carpet and over door mats.Cons -- So good I'm having to empty it daily! I cannot believe how much dust it finds!- Cannot run at night... the noise is a little too much and some bright spark has decided that when it finishes it should play a Mario theme tune at a high volume with no volume options or ability to turn this off!!!!- Cannot program zones and no support for barrier control tape (i.e. some kind of magnetic strip to tell it not to go somewhere). Would be great if I could program a zone so I could say 'Alexa hoover the kitchen' for example.- If it doesn't see a solid wall, it will detect objects using a physical switch. At full speed this would easily knock over a glass/cup, so be careful. It managed to move a fairly large plant around a bit.- Can only set one time to come on... unless you use a secondary device like I am to control it via IR. The IR device means I can set multiple schedules from my phone and from Alexa!!Full review:Very very happy with the results. I didn't know how much I needed this. Very impressive how it manages to go to places it hasn't been yet. Fits under my sofa which is fantastic! It has no problems going over threshold strips and getting onto a door mat.It managed to find its charging station quite fast. The charging dock position apparently needs 2m clear in front and 1m either side. I haven't got a place that fits this requirement but haven't been having issues.Picture included shows the results of the first clean... Bear in mind the house was hoovered only 2 days before with a Dyson!Tried a night time run but it woke my wife up! So won't be doing that again.Early morning run was unbearable, just not a nice noise first thing while waking up so I've switched to a mid morning program instead. It is fairly quiet, but you wouldn't really want to be watching TV or anything while it's on, it's a little distracting. This won't replace a weekly deep clean, but will 100% keep the house looking good during the week. I am very very happy with this purchase.Voice and finish music not optional... weird choice and shame you can't even control the volume. Can't program zones. This would be a nice feature, but I understand that practically it would require a lot of extra hardware to achieve so I understand why it doesn't.Alexa control addition built in - would be nice but others which do this cost a lot lot more. You can instead achieve it for just £15 with an IR controller.I've had to empty after each run so it must be good!Warning - if it doesn't' 'see' an object as being a solid barrier then it can bump it with some force. For example a small stacked table with skinny legs got a few bumps which were enough to move it a little on the floor. If you left a drink on the floor it would knock it over.If you liked this review please let me know and mark it helpful. If you are the manufacturer/seller and have an updated version for review please let me know via Amazon Rank.

Impressive, especially at £80
My partner hates my cats - most specifically the hairs they shed everywhere. In fact she spends time every day on her hands and knees, sweeping them up with rubber gloves. Bit extreme, if you ask me!So, for Xmas I thought I'd get her a robot vac. After reading reviews and looking at the specs for every one on Amazon I realized there was no point spending a fortune, and this Excelvan one was 1 of the cheapest with a decent number of stars. So, to the device: 3 weeks in. It's pretty quiet (you could just about watch telly with it running) and it picks up a scary amount of stuff on its daily rampage. The collector box is easy to remove and empty, and the roller brush likewise easy to remove and clean. And it really does with a thick rug on the kitchen floor. On the negative side; it's not intelligent - it has preset reactions to bumps, and some of them are a bit dumb. It also bumps into things a lot, rather than using its sensors. It can get stranded on a splayed base chair, or stuck in an area, and struggles to find its charging base (but it does get there in the end). But these are minor gripes, really.Would I recommend it? Yes, definitely. Not as a replacement for a good vac every so often, but my partner hasn't been on her knees for the past 3 weeks...!

You get what you pay for
Easy to setup out of well packaged box.1. Squeeky voice can get annoying especially "invalid key pressed" :)2. Limited in auto sense and reverse to cross room and back in grid order.3. Remote [or receiver] flaky and often just states "invalid key pressed"4. Movement control with the remote to try and set it to a grid clean is not very easy as it often goes it's own way.BUT! Overall for a very cheap 1st time unit, it does pick up dust and detrius quite well on both carpet [short pile] and vinyl floors, so I use it every day, and then once a week use my Dyson for full clean.Great for an introduction to Robotic cleaning, and in a few months I can use the Pros & Cons when I wish to buy a more advanced [and dearer] option.

Good value, but spare parts not easily available
The machine works fine. It's great value for money, but its performance doesn't compare to some of the better names out there. Also, I cannot find spare parts. I'm not sure this is worth it, given the lack of availability of spare parts in the UK

Not the best but still a good robot vacuum
It’s good for the price but the schedule mode dos not work and the auto docking is not the best.I tried to talk to tech support but I’m still waiting on a reply

Not bad for the money paid.Good suction and not too loud. Remote isn’t very good though. Needs pressing several times to activate the robot

Excellent little helper
Love it! Novelty still hasn’t worn off. Cleans our little one bed flat no problem and the amount of dust it picks up is astounding. We have a laugh when it tries to get back to the docking station as it usually takes it a while. Overall, at the half price offer I got it for, I’m very happy. Only improvement would be is if it had an app and was Alexa controlled, but I guess at half price you can’t ask for too much.
