BladesUSA HK-1482 Red Flame Samurai Fantasy Sword, Black/Silver, 26-Inch Length

(I am a first timer on swords here) This sword is really lightweight, didnt come in sticky, its came in nicely and BEFORE my original time.Like the other reviews, the handle's fabric is really loose and the end of the handle CAN pierce objects. Its a nice size I guess, the sheath made it look twice as thick. Came in sharp, it passed the apple and cantelope test. The button that holds the handle of the sword in the sheath is kinda loose. The shoulder strap fits. The sheath gives good character, its not like 'oh here is where you put the sword so you dont cut yourself', its like 'see this curved edge here? I can cut anything when i unsheath this blade'. The flame on it is not bright nor as dull as the pic and it looks really cool. The flame seems to be a blood red color. Overall... its good. NOT THE BEST SWORD IN THE WORLD. But worth the money and worth the wait.

I love this sword: full-tang, sharp out of the box (but with a diamond sharpener, it is now razor sharp), well balanced with a beautiful sharp tip able to pierce almost anything. Yet, it is a machete, able to do yard chores. In fact, I found it to be more able than my Cold Steel Kukri Magnum machete for brush, shrubbery, and small tree saplings. It keeps an edge, and as for the sheath, I wrapped mine in duct tape and sign vinyl, and have had no problem with over-penetration by the sword. Of course using the plastic tip helps, as well as putting some type of packaging at the bottom helps. . I am glad that I purchased this sword machete,and hope that you will too. It is not a decoration, it is a working blade. Of course, when the occasional zombie comes around, I just lop his head and arms off, and then burn the body, in according with tradition. No muss, no fuss...even when he or she brings friends to the party. They can all get some. There is some flex, but very little, it is still beautiful and retains its shape. If you want a lightweight fight sword, well now you've got the real thing.Go get yourself one.

The know it all with the huge post must work for the distributor because he is the only one touting the quality of the sheath. The point is in fact that sharp and at too high of an angle for the sheath so it will penetrate it. The first time I sheathed it, i pushed through about four inches from the end with no noticeable change in pressure. While wiggling it to get it fully inserted, it wore the stitching off the sheath at the holy and began to unravel the edging. To get it fully sheathed even now, it takes a few tries and the point runs along the stitching from the inside and is undoubtedly cutting into that nylon thread and will be a hole in a matter of time. The short sword is sharp and looks like it will take a beating if you choose to use it that way. With no guard I would not recommend stabbing with it. In the end it looks cool and is a great buy when you need a few more dollars on your order to get free shipping. Upon further examination my sheath was assembled with part of the plastic inner liner missing. This is exactly where the point broke through and it is from faulty manufacturing.

Actually surprised at how well made this is. Sure it is a cheap sword but it is perfect length for close quarters/bed-side protection and extremely sharp. It came with a sheath that I clipped around my bed frame, so it is safe from me accidently hitting it in my sleep but also ready for action if someone tries to catch us off guard in the middle of the night. I feel more secure having this than a gun that is not cocked because of the additional time and thought that would take in an emergency. I also don't like leaving a gun loaded and cocked, so that led me to this and I love it.

You simply can't beat what you're getting here for the asking price. The blade is long, sharp and extremely pointy. This weapon would do more damage from a stab than any swing with force could ever do. I can't emphasize enough how pointed the blade is. A case is included with the purchase which is great but beware that the point of the blade could easily penetrate the case if put into it with to much force or pressure. The handle is nicely wrapped and there is a nice little red design on the blade. I purchased this more or less as something I could use to protect myself in my home if necessary and I feel it would do that job very well. Highly recommend and it's a bargain at the asking price.

If your at all familiar with ninja blades then you'll know right off the bat that they typically don't come too thick. This is also the case here, the thickset part is right where your holding it. That doesn't mean its flimsy at all, just not as thick as a typical blade. Some people said they had "black marks" on the blade, this comes with any new cutlery I've ever bought. Its simply becasue the blade is brand new, and usually the steel is cold. The blotches rub right off with no hassle and then the blade is nice and clean. Really those blotches tell me its brand spankin new. The flames didn't chip or come off at all when I got mine, so that may end up being an issue for some ( as some reviews are griping about that.) The sheath is much like any other ninja sheath I've bought, its not the sturdiest and it typically ends with the blades tip going through the bottom of the sheath. This too happened with me, but it's typical for new blades to do that. Simply wrap the tip of the sheath is either a duct tape, or some sort of leather or metal and you'd be fine. All in all I'm pleased with the blade, especially for the price.

This blade is unhardened and cheaply constructed. It is stamped then painted. It is very sharp, but I don't think it will be very durable. If zombies are coming TODAY it may serve you well for a short time, but if you plan on keeping a blade for a while, or anticipate multiple zombie attackes spanning day, weeks, or years, you're better off spending a little more as this this cheap implement won't hold up for the long haul. The back serrated part is for decoration only, is not sharp at all, & really can't be sharpened from a practical stand-point as it would just chip off the paint leaving the exposed metal to rust.

I just spent approx. $250.00 elsewhere on various 'blades' - in the vein of everything from a Samurai sword, a Katana sword, and various others. I needed something really, really sharp for my purposes. Spent two weeks trying to learn stuff, asking sellers, "Is this one really sharp?" I bought this as an 'impulse buy' - it was less than $15.00 for crying out loud. If SHARP is your main prerequisite, do NOT waste tons of money, get this bad girl! I'd rather have gotten two or three of these than all the others coming and spent the extra on something else. This came very quickly. It was packaged extremely well. It looks wicked and it IS wicked. So, from a total non blade expert, I'd bet on this one.

I heard in other reviews that the grip is just a weak attempt at a cord wrap, instead my sword was shipped with padding on the handle, so I see absolutely no cons with getting this sword. Amazing quality it has some heft to it, but light enough for even the weaker warriors can swing it. Love the flame paint, although the material they used to put it there is already wearing off with use eventually leaving me with all black blade. Only real complaint is the sheath is flimsy, and a little awkward to put the sword back in. Yet again, a sword like this is really something to be displayed, not shrouded away. Five stars!

It would've been five stars if the sheath was more resistant. As soon as I got it out of the box, I noticed the very much pointy and sharp end going through. As you can see in the pictures, the blade is a little bigger than a machete but is extremely dangerous and sharp. I actually almost cut myself just touching the edge. The sword is awesome! The sheath is garbage. Overall great sword. The flame detail is also only on one side.

I ORDERED 2 to duel wield these things are damn Legends in the field the durability is good along with sheath the sheath is back mounted (goes on your back) and there is a clip in and out to take it off or put it on your back i say you can have about 4 of these on your back decent design however there thin but good
