Wood doesn't separate from base
Wood doesn't separate from base; which makes cleaning the underside of the wood impossible. Starts to smell funky and I have to submerge it in a cleaning solution often.

Sturdy resin base, clean look
Just what I wanted; the key will be how the bamboo insert lasts over time in the wet shower. However, the dish will be able to accomodate a silicone insert when the bamboo fails as it will...eventually. As it is, though, I am completely satisfied.

It's a nice soap dish
It's a soap dish. It looks okay. I can't get too excited over a soap dish, but boring didn't seem like a good enough reason to deduct a star.

Nice Looking & Functional Soap Dish
Very happy with this soap dish, as it looks nice and keeps the soap from getting stuck to the tray from sitting in water. The only thing that may be a problem is that the bamboo may warp a little, but it’s still sturdy and easy to clean.

Looks nice and does exactly what I purchased it for. Be sure to regularly empty the water that gets trapped under the wood. I find my soap gets soft and never completely dries out on the side that is down due to the water underneath.

Beautiful soap dish - arrived completely shattered :(
If this soap dish had not arrived completely shattered it would be so perfect. The material is nice and heavy and the size is perfect. The box it came in was undamaged so I doubt this happened in transit. I am disappointed as it is no longer in stock at the same price I had gotten it for and since it is sold by a third party Amazon is unable to replace it. Oh well.
