Product Description When Team Rocket steals a Hitmonlee and enters the Fighting Pokemon Tournament, it will be up to Ash, Primeape, and Pikachu to fight for justice against their sticky tricks! Later, a Magemite thinks that love is the best medicine for Pikachu's electric flu. Will Pikachu agree? Finaly, Pokemon trainers are recruited to capture the Digletts that keep wricking a dam, including Ash's rival Gary! Will we see a showdown between trainers, or will the Digletts win in the end? .com At last, Ash has earned his Marsh Badge! After overcoming a few Primape Problems, he also has a new Pokémon under his belt. But he's still falling behind the other trainer hopefuls. So Ash, Misty, and Brock hit the road once again on their quest to defeat and capture more Pokémon. This time, their journey leads to the Fighting Spirit Gym, where our gang pits their fighters against such nasties as Machop, Hitmonlee, and Hitmonchan. The kids even manage to enlighten an overworked trainer who's been neglecting his family. Next they travel to Gringy City, a dank, smelly town on the verge of disaster. Thanks to Pikachu's magnetism, the town is restored and Ash collects a rather stinky reward. Finally, lost somewhere in the mountains, the trio solves a mystery involving a band of molelike Diglett and the dam project the little diggers keep thwarting. This standard sampling of Pokémon fare includes all the split-screen action, vibrant--sometimes psychedelic--animation, and nicely paced story lines of its other TV episode collections. A little slapstick humor provided by Team Rocket amuses the 5-year-old crowd, and we hope the "morals" of each 25-minute story (such as, "When you do a little digging you can always find something good") are not lost on the equally enraptured 10-year-olds. --Liane Thomas

Duh, Its Pokemon of Course it gets 5 Stars
Ever since the first episode I saw it has been a awesome show. These episodes are great. The scene that comes to mind is seeing Team Rocket, Again, blasting off after loosing the tournament.

Pokemon Fighting Tournament DVD Review
The Punchy Pokemon-It's pretty good episode with 3 good fights and good reminder of pro wrestling. There's only one thing that bags me. It's the scene where Meowth went under the ring then placed some glue on the ring so that Hitmonchan can get stuck. I would've have mind so much but I know where that idea came from. It was the same idea that Hector used on Heathcliff from the 1980's episode: Boom Boom Pussini. Sparks Fly For Magnemite-A dumb love filler. The only thing that fans will remember that epsiode is the debut of Muk. Dig Those Diglett-Almost feels like a Captain Planet episode. The only thing that fans will remember this episode is the debut of Arbok & Weezing. Overall, It's not great but pretty good. I give this disc a 6 out of 10.

Not a great first choice, but a great DVD nonetheless...
Pokemon fans new to the DVD side of things should probably start off with Poke Friends or Thundershock, but for what its worth, this is still a great trio of episodes from Pokemon's 'golden' era.The first episode on the DVD features Pokemon like Primeape and Hitmonchan in a fighting tournament - very cool episode and virtually the only episode in the series to feature some of these Pokemon. The Grimer/Magnemite episode is just kinda there...nothing too major aside from Ash catching a Muk. The third episode is better than it sounds, featuring the Diglett and Dugtrio, as well as Team Rocket's Pokemon meeting their evolution.I have most of the released Pokemon DVDs...like I said, I wouldn't reccomend this as the first choice, but you won't be dissapointed in it either way.

Pokemon Power!
I love Pokemon, and "Pokemon Fighting Tournament"is one of my favorite videos.It contains 3 episodes,first in"The Punchy Pokemon"Ash enters Primeape in a tournament for fighting pokemon,next in "Sparks Fly For Magnamite" a group of Grimer and Muk cause a power shortage in Grindgy City and it up to Ash and his friends to save the sick pokemon at the pokemon center,then in "Dig Those Digglet" Ash and his friends run into his rival Gary,but theres no time for a pokemon battle they have to solve a problem with Digglet and Dugtrio first, and Team Rocket try to evolve Ekans and Koffings. I recomend this video to all Pokemon fans.

Fight for the earth badge
when ash when to get the earth badge at the ceruelian city gary was there from palet town and gary fought first two fight and won but when the gym master(team rocket boss) put armormew in gary has no chance at the same time they have lost togepi and found him inside the gym they went in the gym and found gary onconcious and found team rocket incharge of the gym ask losses two times and won the battle with pikachu and earned the earth badge!

In sparks fly for magnimite these grimer stop water in the power plant of gringy city and ash catches a pokemon if you need too know . then in dig those digllet the digllet and dugtrio destroy a dam and ekans and koffing evolve.
