Wow this is a great crime series!!!
Third book in the Ruthless People series with the continuing story of Liam and Melody Callahan and it just gets better and better. So many questions that I had got answered in this book such as who the mole is, were they going to pay, where was melody, was Liam going to get out of prison, who is melody's evil grandfather and how can they overcome him, did Melody's mother not have any love for her, what's to become of little Ethan with Melody missing and Liam in prison, and so many like that. This book had so much happening including betrayals, sniper shootings, bombings, torture, political happenings, awards, murder, revenge, and so much more. Melody has hurt Liam with not being able to ask for help because of what she was taught in her childhood, are they ever going to overcome this. When they are in sync they are so completely hot together and loving. I must say that I am truly enjoying this series and my first reading of this author with this series has been so enjoyable. Thank you so much Ms. McAvoy . I have already purchased the next in the series and am anxious to start it.

The epic series continues!
This series just keeps getting better! The action continues, and the saga of the Callahan clan takes a few unexpected turns. I can't really say anything without risking a spoiler. Expect the unexpected, but you know--kind of--what you're getting from Liam and Mel, crazy, over-the-top violence. It's a brutal, bloody, beautiful opera with them as co-conductors. Even some of the stuff you're expecting has a little twist to throw you off a bit.Mel's beautifully twisted, super-smart brain shows some serious girl power in a world run by men. Liam isn't phased at all by Mel's badassness, and that makes him that much hotter. They are the true puppet masters.

Action packed OTT mayhem! A surreal, crazy HFN ending for the Callahans. Can't wait to read about the next generation ❤Melody finds herself in the midst of her darkest nightmare early on in this installment of the Ruthless People series. Being faced with the dilemma of who to trust is a battle Melody has not encountered since childhood when her father instilled a clear message she could only trust in herself. Liam has done his best to convince her he and his family would always have her back but old habits are hard to break. Recent events reinforce her father’s teachings and she quickly throws off any notion of reliance on others. With the city and the public’s opinion of the Callahans at an all-time low, they need go from ruthless to savage. Boy, that took me by surprise even though it was blatantly clear in the title. Their reasons for being savage was forced upon them as they did all to keep their family safe and survive. That’s not to say the Callahans are innocent – far from it! Their enemies were just as savage and in a strange way the degree of violence both parties engaged was justified. The Callahan home front is in damage control with the shocking news of a rat of the two legged variety somehow within their ranks. One is obvious and the other is a major shock. It’s not as clear cut as it appears towards the end. I am still unsure if the catalyst for deceit was motivated by insanity or love.It was unnerving as the reasons for Melody and Liam’s troubles were revealed. Each and every single one of them open up another can of worms as to what is going on and what it will mean for the Callahan family. What is evident is that everything happening has taken a toll on Melody’s ability to remain stoic. And that’s saying something, because she is one of the most resilient tough anti-heroines out there.Revenge is laced with bitter sweetness as final words spoken by their enemies open the door to demons of the past. While American Savages hasn’t been my favourite of the series, it was still a book I am glad I have read!

If you love Mobster reads and not yet checked out JJ McAvoy's Ruthless People series, then add it to your reading list now.
Another favorite author of mine who is now on my Automatic must read list is JJ McAvoy. I love all her books, and one of my favorite mobster type series is Ruthless People. I find for a mobster family, the characters are all easy to relate too and though they have evil sides and powerful they all hold an ethic of the family comes first and will do everything in their power to protect the ones they love. American Savages starts with the introduction of young Melody and a young Liam Callahan as they are thrust into the world of mobsters and loyalty. Years later, these two would be joined in marriage to unite both families together. Eventually, they fell in love and had a son named Ethan. All was going well until one day, Melody disappeared, and Liam was accused and charged with her murder. American Savages starts with Liam in jail and his trial looming. Readers waited in anticipation to see if Melody would turn up or let Liam rot in jail. When the family is finally reunited, it seems that danger is looming around all corners and there is a mole in the midst. As more people are killed and information leaked, Liam and Melody as the head of the families organization must take the lead and find out who is trying to betray them before their closest family members are killed in the line of loyalty and duty. What will happen though when the mole turns out to be someone in their inner circles and someone linked to power? Will their duty of punishment waver or when more are killed will the family take matters into their own hands? As usual, American Savages was a fast-paced, and high adrenaline read as each chapter is action-packed and adventure-fuelled. If you love Mobster reads and have not yet checked out JJ McAvoy's Ruthless People series, then add it to your reading list now.

Kept The Wheels Turning...
So first of all I would have given this book 5 starts BUT there were too many spelling errors and incorrect grammar (even missing words at times!) which left me quite frustrated. I don't know why books are published like this, it's not that hard to read over something...Next, the last book was Amazing and definitely more than I expected. As always it's a Love/Hate relationship with the characters but the book is well written and the third book contained so many 'What?!', 'Huh?' and 'No way!' moments that it was hard to put down. The surprising twists will keep those wheels turning in your head.I have loved all three books and i'm happy with all purchases.I'll be buying more from this author in the future (providing she proof reads!)

Dropped a star for missing words/grammar and spelling
Apart from the small issues mentioned in the title this book was absolutely amazing, I loved it, every page was a turner, never a dull moment. You love to hate Mel and Liam, they are nasty, they are evil, they are the people you would never want to cross but my goodness they are one heck of a team. There was a few unexpected moments and I wish that the family mole (no names mentioned) would have gotten more than they got at the end, it was too quick and easy.

Excellent Read. Can't get enough of Bloody Mel!
I loved it. It was far better than The Untouchables. Truly an excellent conclusion to the series (I thought it was the final book when I read it). I loved the jail scenes with Liam. I thought that was a really good way to open the book. Mel's arrival at the courthouse was completely epic. I liked how angry Liam was at Mel in this book. I think this was properly the first really meaningful argument they had had since when they first met in book 1. The whole family was pissed off at Mel, not just Liam so it was exciting to see how that played out. It was annoying to see how Evelyn treated Mel when she first got back. All I could think was how much of a hypocrite she was. I thought Coraline was probably getting a bit to big for her britches. I think she started to consider herself like a mini- Mel or something, which felt completely inaccurate to me. A few months of fight training doesn't make you Bloody Mel. It was so good to see Neil finally open his eyes & see how much of a psychotic bitch his wife was!! That was probably one of the highlights of this book. I really enjoyed this book. It had an HEA and it ended really well. I feel like this book really wrapped up the whole series, so I was surprised when A Bloody Kingdom was announced. I'm really excited to see what happens next!
