The DIRECTV wireless video bridge router allows for a wireless Genie client to be located anywhere in your home without running coax cable to it. Connect it to your SWM splitter and it will send signal to wireless clients throughout your home.

Worked great for my setup
This worked great for me. None of the other reviewers had my exact setup, so it took a while to figure out the install. However, once I did, it was super easy so hopefully this helps someone else. My setup and install was as follows. I have the wireless Directv whole house DVR mini Genie system. The DVR tower (HS17) powers the antenna and is located in my living room. I pay for 4 mini genie boxes (C41W) for around the house. The problem was that the mini genie boxes in two of the bedrooms did not get a good signal (red light on the front of the box). The tv video constantly froze on me. I bought this Wireless Video Bridge to fix that. What I did was to add a splitter to the cable that runs from the antenna to the DVR tower (HS17). Be sure to use a Directv compatible splitter and connect the DVR Tower cable to the splitter output that allows the DC voltage passthru, as the DVR tower powers the antenna. For the other output from the splitter, I ran an RG6 cable to a location in the house closer to the two bedrooms with weak signals. Then I plugged this output into the Wireless Video Bridge. It takes a couple of minutes to turn on. Once that was done, I went to the mini genie box (C41W) in each of the two bedrooms with weak signals and pushed the reset button on the side of the box. The mini genie box did the reset and when it came back on line, it automatically connected to the stronger signal of the Wireless Video Bridge that I just installed. Now I have great signal in all my rooms (green light on all the boxes). So two of my mini genie boxes are connected to the wireless video bridge in the DVR tower and two of my mini genie boxes are connected to the new Wireless Video Bridge that I bought. I didn't have to talk to Directv since I already pay for my 4 genie mini boxes.

AT&T would not activate the wireless genie mini
I returned both the wireless video bridge and the wireless Genie Mini because AT&T refused to activate them, making them useless. I had to schedule an install and get the equipment directly from AT&T's installer. So I had to pay for the installation, the equipment, and agree to another 2-year agreement.

Works Good!
Did the job and put the signal where it was needed. Not that difficult to set up. Just be sure you run a cable to it.

Extend your Directv Network
I put it at the other end of my house than my HS17 and now I get reception on my C61W out in my shop.
