EMAX Hawk Pro FRSKY BNF 5" FPV Inch Racing Drone Quad (1700KV FRSKY BNF)

1 month update,this thing is a beast. I am thinking of buying a fleet for multigp drone racing.1 week later I have no regrets about this kit. I have crashed it a few times into concrete relatively hard and I can't believe how well this drone has held up. Not a scratch! Not to mention it comes with betaflight 4.0 and is pre-tuned/flys perfect out of the box... Even the 6s quad on 4s isn't bad. I have built drones that didn't fly this goodOriginal review: Very nice kit, but... first thing I noticed was the stand offs on the fc and vtx weren't tightened all the way, which if left unchecked could make the drone have bad vibration problems and likely make it fall out of the sky.Next issue is that you have to take off the canopy to get to the buttons on the for the vtx and receiver. I made a small hole in the canopy to be able to hit the button on the vtx. Overall good kit, but I wouldn't say its for beginners. Keep up the good work EMAX, I always loved your motors and I can't wait to get this baby up in the air!

Emax knocked this one out of the park!!! This quad is too fast for humans lol , 6s version RIPS HARD getting used to it I had a couple crashes and it didn't so much as doing the propeller or scratch to canopy the only thing that happened during both crashes where a slightly bent antenna that I just corrected back straight , extremely durable , it's my new favorite racer and it has a crystal clear camera I was amazed at clarity and range even penetrating through abandoned building I got very , and I mean really small interference , no prop wash really stable flight , but be warned make sure you practice ALOT on smaller quad mabee "emax tinyhawk freestyle 2" , and get comfortable in the house with your skill level flying that where you don't crash and you keep complete control because once you launch the emax hawk pro your skills better be good and polished because you're going to need them it is extremely fast!! And shipping was next day so it was here the next day after I ordered it, overall I'm really satisfied with my purchase and with the seller great buyer experience

Looks like a great drone, but I can't fly it. It didn't come with a receiver. I contacted Emax and they verified this is the PNP version and NOT BNF! I wanted this specific drone and Emax does not have the BNF version in stock at the moment and I'm not seeing it on other trusted sites either. Doubtful this seller has the actual BNF version. Watch out for GH Electronics !!!

This thing is so fast out of the box. Definitely should not be your first drone. If you want a race ready drone for under $250. This is the way to go. I bought the 6s version and am blown away at how well it Flys. The only thing I have a complaint about is I bought a new taranis qx7 at the same time because the screen on my old one busted. The receiver would not bind to the new qx7. I swapped out the screen from the new qx7 to my old qx7 and it binded right away. I guess the firmware needs to be updated on the receiver. Besides that I can't complain about anything. I Definitely would recommend this to anyone who has experience flying.

I really enjoy having this drone in my collection, it’s a fantastic flyer. However, I do prefer the 6’s version to this model (4’s). It’s built very well, has decent components, and an amazing camera. The flight characteristics are completely on point, and Emax set a great tune for this quad right out of the box. But make sure if you our thinking about buying this model (or any bnf) your accustom to Betaflight, you WILL need to know how to use it properly. Right now my favorite bnf quadcopters are: HGLRC, GEPRC, and EMAX; so you can’t go wrong adding this to your hanger or additional. I wouldn’t get this if you are a complete newb though, it’s tough, and can take some poundings, but only to a point (you wouldn’t want to “learn” to fly on this only to seriously damage it from constant consistent crashes) make sure your fully comfortable in flying hobby grade drones before purchasing. 8.5 out of 10 🤙. Review part 2: I’ve been flying this beauty for quite some time now and never get tired of it! It’s built soo amazingly well; it’s definitely one of my top favorites. I have many quads of all sizes and The Hawk gets plenty of air time each and every week. If your still not sure about buying this drone, you must! I definitely prefer the 6’s version, but either rips just as well; but the 6’s is on another level. This quad can practically hang with ANY quad out on the market right now!

Shipping was on time and excellent packaging. Setup was straight up other than the frsky micro receiver bound and worked good for about 5 minutes then lost bind shortly after first hovering test flight and would not bind up again. I had another reciever so got it flying. Took it out to open field and now the transceiver blank out at 100 ft out. Boost level to 400 and still cuts out. Tried different goggles (fat sharks attitude) and different antennas still cutting out. I check connections and no help. I think it’s a bad VTX. Getting very hot.

I got the kv 1700s 6s version buy 6s not 4s 💪👍.You'll need a frsky Transmitter with a D8 mode I'm using the Taranis QX7. Hold bind button on the drone and plug battery in at the same time to bind to transmitter. [Drone is Not for beginners] Real review.

Its flies so nice.. BUT they sent it to me with the arms installed backwards, motors were all out of order, default tune was programmed all wrong in betaflight. Was setup as a brushed quad. Was a nitemare to fix as a noob but i got it figured out. Emax has quality control issues evidently. Great flier after 3 days troubleshooting tho
