Due to the way it latches you can’t make use of all 3 oz
I absolutely LOVE the Haakaa!! It is probably the best product for breastfeeding that I’ve ever purchased. The haakaa comes in 2 sizes and since I almost always get less than 2.5 oz of milk, I figured the 3 oz would be a good size. However because of the way this latches on to your breast after about 2 oz it fills up and then the access milk fills up where the haakaa attaches.I would definitely recommend it, I just learned the hard way, it is not a full 3 oz of useable.

Must have for breastfeeding moms
This is my second haakaa. It's a must for breastfeeding. I've never gotten more than 1/2 ounce when I have it on, but it saves me from getting drenched while I'm feeding on the other side. So, for me, it's not great for being used as a "pump" but just to catch the milk that would have been wasted. Also, useful for when you have a clogged duct. Just fill it with water and Epsom salt. I wish this had a plug so you can keep it covered while you finish up breastfeeding.

Best thing for breastfeeding-coming from a ob nurse!
I have 400 plus oz in one month just from using the haakaa on the opposite side while my little one nurses! I am so impressed with this! I am a labor and delivery nurse and also specialize in lactation and recommend this to every breastfeeding mom! Especially those early months where engorgement happens frequently! I also massage my breast while this in one and get a lot more!

Recommended
This thing is AMAZING! Recommended to me by a friend after telling her I've been doing terrible amounts of laundry due to my milk soaking through pads so quickly. I feel connected with all the positive reviews of this product. In just under 24 hours I have saved almost 10 ounces of milk that would have otherwise ended up in my pads and shirt. The best part is there are no wires, no machines, no noise, just a little silicone thing. It works great!! It is a little uncomfortable to use, but all pumps are. I definitely recommend and am already thinking of buying one for my pregnant friend!

CATCH ALL THE MILK
I bought this after seeing my friend using it, I’d never even heard of it before. This was mainly ordered just to catch all the milk I was losing from the breast that my son was not nursing from during feeding, since the one he isn’t latched to ALWAYS leaks. I ended up using it and was really shocked to see that I got a whole once from the breast he was not latched to! Such a fantastic purchase! Just make sure you are careful after you detach it... because I dropped it all over me while trying to unlatch the baby and stand up.

I hate pumping, this is so much easier!
The Haaka Manual pump is amazing! I use it just during the middle of the night feeding for now, and I have been able to collect around 2-3 ounces even after nursing. It is super easy to clean and could definitely be kept in your purse or diaper bag for on the go use. I wish I had invested in this with my first son, I used another manual pump when on the go and struggled to even get an ounce. The Haaka is effective and easy to use! I’d definitely recommend!!

A useful tool for either pumping or catching spillage
This is an easy to use tool for catching the letdown on the opposite breast if attached with minimum suction, or for grabbing a few ounces if attached more firmly. A wiggly baby could kick it off if positioned feet across your belly, and your partner will think you're crazy, but I'm glad I had it in the beginning.

Catch the extra milk
This has been great to have when I’m feeding in one side because it suctions to the other side and catches what would be lost. It’s also been great for traveling as I can have it on in the car as a passenger. Baby sleeps more on car trips so it’s great to use this to get more out after feeding him a bit. Warning is to not fall asleep with it attached because it will come unattached and will spill on you.
