The bottom side of the Microsoft sculpt keyboard is not flat so attachment would not be secure.

Is it Magnetic? And is it safe to use on an Ipad?

It’s not magnetic. It has 2 stickers that stick to your laptop or keyboard. It’s easily removable with a little force and after you raise or wipe down with wet towels, you can stick it to another keyboard. It’s safe to use on iPad. Just be careful if you need to remove it from your iPad because you do need a little force to do so. I have used it on 3 different keyboards and laptop. I love this product as it has 3 different adjustable heights.
