How do you adjust the stand? I mean do you push something in then change the angle or what?

All swivel joints. All are STIFF to ensure that laptop etc does not easily move. THUS would not want to be continually adjusting. I set mine up for need and never touch it Maybe constant adjustment would make joints less stiff ? Must say it is extremely neat in design - still like it and am pleased that I chose it !

Is this suitable for use in an arm chair to do sudoku?

It is made of metal and sits on a desk very well. On an armchair it might be a bit uncomfortable on your lap due to the metal but it is sturdy and you could place a flat cushion underneath it if you want it on your lap or between your legs rested on the chair would work. So I say yes I think it is suitable.

What's the material of this laptop stand?

I would say aluminium. Although I’m not the seller and not sure if this is in the description somewhere. I hope this helps
