Adjustable Pen Holder for Silhouette Cameo die Cut Machine

I had originally bought the Silhouette brand plastic pen holders to use for my gel pens. Worst decision ever. While most of my Shilhouette branded accessories work great, those pen holders didn't fit properly and eventually cracked and broke in a few weeks. Yes, this metal holder is a little over double the price, but it is a thousands of times better. It sizes to fit any pen that is thin enough to fit in the tube and holds it securely for the entire duration of the design. I've been using this for months now, and there's no sign of any wear and tear at all. I can not emphasize how much better this is over the plastic alternative, and I wish I had not wasted my time and money on the plastic one at all and just went for this metal holder in the first place.

I made the mistake of buying the manufacturer's version of this before finding this one. The other one I purchased was made of plastic and cracked the second time I used it. I had 40 more of my nephew's invites to create and I didn't want to keep paying for something to break, so I searched for an alternative. I'm so glad that I did. This one not only finished all of the invites, but will last to do anything else I have in the future. The one I got is perfect for the Sharpie Pen, but I it won't hold any pens that are thicker than that. If I ever need to, I will definitely be purchasing the larger holder one. I would recommend this to any Silhouette owner

It's very well made and does exactly as described. However I ultimately returned it. The reason is that it only fits very thin pens. I bought it with the intention of using extra fine tip sharpie pens for invitations and they were to fat to fit in the pen holder. I was super bummed. I will wait for my refund and try the marker version of this product. I'm sure it will work just fine! Especially since it comes with the adjustable screw. Fingers crossed!

I have read so many reviews about the manufacturer product and how this one would not break, so I went ahead and bought it. It won't break - it looks like it will last forever. One of the issues I have with it is that it doesn't even hold a G2 Gel pen. However, after I removed the rubber around the pen, it fit. That means that I can only really use those pens for the Cameo because I had to cut the rubber to get it off the gel pen. Also, I noticed that the when you screw in the pen, it's not exactly centered in the holder, which means that you need to be careful about sketching and cutting at the same time. I tried to compensate by eying how much the design was off and it worked, but it's a bit of a hassle. All that said, I would buy it again because I know it won't break.

Gosh.This is AWESOMEYou won’t get wider pens/markers to fit, or probably most pens with grippies.. it’s a bit narrow, but with the pens that do fit this thing is EXCELLENT.I’ve used a broken, plastic Silhouette brand pen holder for a few years now. It broke almost right away, so I’ve been just taping pens into it (which makes for everything black unless I want to do a whole lot more taping to switch out colors).I think this is extremely clever and I’m glad they came up with it. I have a 60 set of double sided markers and they fit beautifully inside this. Super simple to use! I wish I would’ve found this sooner.So many more possibilities now!!So excited!

Does not fit the cricut infusable ink markers or any marker I have for my silhouette. Not the true product. Very disappointed. Found the true product and am very happy with it.

This product quality wise is perfect.BUT BE WARNED: this fits only very thin pens. I'm talking about standard BIC pens or cheap gel pens.It will not fit pens with grips or pens like Papermate Flair, with tapered designs. And it fits pens under 3/8th of an inch! If your pen measures exactly 3/8 at its thickest part, as mine did, it will not fit.So if you are only planning on using thin pens, go for this one, it will work beautifully for your project.But for everyone else, buy the MARKER HOLDER from this company.The marker holder has fit every pen I wanted to use without an issue. It's not that much wider than the pen holder, but it takes the doubt out of if your pen will work or not.I wish I had ordered the marker holder without having to return the pen holder first!

I originally purchased the plastic Silhouette pen holders and sketch pens because I didn't know about Chomas products. That holder broke (totally fractured) in less than two months of light use plus the sketch pens consistently ran out before projects completed. I received the metal Chomas holder yesterday, popped it in my Cameo 2 and finished my project using a Bic pen. Directions are clear, installation is beyond easy and I am a happy camper again. I sketched out about 30 pages yesterday without having to readjust the holder, used about half of a new Bic pen (I can see the ink level now!) and look forward to breaking out my gel and glitter pens for more fun crafting. To just finish what I'd started made the cost of this holder worth every penny. And Made in the USA - can't beat that.
