This adapter worked exactly as I had hoped, and for the first few weeks I had no issues, but lately charging with the adapter has become temperamental. Charging turns off and on randomly. I have to check and make sure the connection is good then keep the phone still to keep the charge going. I’m using the Original apple earphones and charger that came with my new IPhone, so I don’t think the lightning cable or my earphones are the problem. If I’m using the earphones during a charge and the charge turns off then the earphones also stop working. I have to pull the adapter out and plug it back in to regain use of both earphones and lightning cable charger. This could be Apple making it hard to use products manufactured from companies other than Apple. Otherwise this is a wonderful fix if you want to charge and use earphones at the same time.

Item works as described, however you have to pay attention to which lighting port you plug the charge cord. One side will not charge the phone and is not labeled.

I would return this if it weren't a pandemic. But I don't feel like going into a UPS store to return a $10 item (or honestly... searching my house to find which room I set this down in 2 days after receiving it and giving up on using it.)I knew I was taking a risk buying an inexpensive phone accessory. I checked to see that this accessory claims to work with my specific generation iphone. I have to attach the dongle and then plug in the headphones first and THEN the power cord to get it to send sound and power through the dongle simultaneously. If I plug the power cord in and THEN the headphones, plugging in the headphones terminates the phone charging function even when the power cord is still plugged into other dongle receptacle. And then even when I use the proper order of plugging in headphones and power cable, I cannot get rid of a loud buzzing noise in the sound conveyed by the dongle. The buzzing is far too loud/disruptive to listen to anything on the headphones through the dongle. Headphones I'm using are the ones that come with the iphone and their sound is perfect when I do not use this dongle. Either my specific dongle is faulty or this product is terrible. I suppose $10 might be worth the risk of trying it for yourself, but I can't recommend anyone purchase this product.

Works perfectly in my car. Didn’t give 5 stars because within the first 2 weeks my phone fell out of its holder and the part that plugs into the iPhone broke off. The good news is they are so cheap I ordered 2 more so I could have a backup. With Prime I was back up and running within a couple days!!

*This one works great* The first one arrived broken. It was just the adapter in a plastic baggie. The replacement arrived two days later. It was in a nice box. One star off because of the hassle of returning a broken one.

This adapter is awesome. It is helpful to fix a problem apple caused. Thank you for fixing the lack of a port that allows playing music and charging. I’m happy with the unit and both ports can be a charge port or the audio port. The adapter isn’t too large and fits in my Shure IEM case with the headphones. Mic and controls work with the adapter too.

It kinda broke very quickly. When I charge my phone and also wanna use my headphones, either my phone would just charge and my headphones wouldn’t work. Or it’ll stop charging my phone and also my headphones wouldn’t work. I have to keep playing with the adapter cord for both my charger and headphones to work at the same time. Its a bit annoying

The product works as intended. The charging isn’t impeded nor is the quality of audio. However the biggest takeaway is, you paid for what you get. And that was very present when by the end of the 1st week of using it, the header was easily loosen by a significant tug thus rendered the adapter unusable/broken. If you are gentle with the product, then its longevity can be lengthen.
