This is an amazing blend of rice. It has an incredibly rich, earthy, and natural flavor profile, and it smells absolutely fantastic while cooking no matter how you prepare it. The blend of grains gives it a perfectly firm, chewy texture that never turns to mush. Because it's a 100% whole-grain blend, it is exceptionally filling and satiating. I love that it keeps me full so much longer than standard white rice, meaning I don't have to cook as much or worry about wasting leftovers. *** Fantastic texture and flavor—especially great with a little turmeric! It holds its shape beautifully and is incredibly versatile. I frequently make Asian-style dishes like Sweet and Sour or General Tso's chicken, and I love tossing some turmeric into the pot while this cooks. It gives the blend a slightly different, vibrant look that pairs perfectly with those meals. Just keep in mind that because it’s a hearty whole-grain blend, it does require some patience—it takes about 40+ minutes on a traditional stovetop. But if you have an Instant Pot or pressure cooker, it comes out flawless and completely hands-off. The quality, taste, and texture are 100% worth the wait. *** Highly recommended!!

This was a tasty side dish! I love it. Not just bland white rice!! It does take twice as long to cook over white rice but so worth it. Good quality! Lots of fiber! Definitely give it a try!!

This rice is the best quality. I love this rice. I’ve been purchasing this brand of rice for over 30 years. The taste is outstanding cooks evenly and well and is the perfect side dish. I use my rice cooker and everything works out consistently and wonderful

Very good wild rice blend. I cook it in my Instant Pot using the rice to water ratios (plus the recommended butter quantity) given on the package instructions and the "Rice" button on my cooker. When I open the lid, it always looks like I've used a bit too much water at first, but I stir it a bit and turn on the "Saute" function until it's the consistency I like. I've made it with less water than directed before, but I've found that it turns out a bit too chewy for my liking. With only a minute on the "Saute" function, any excess water cooks off or perhaps mixes with starches in the rice, resulting in a creamy delicious rice blend. I haven't cooked this any other way than in my Instant Pot using the "Rice" button (I just push it and let it do it's thing), but it turns out great when cooked that way. Another thing I like about this rice is that I can get away with making less rice for my family using this blend (as opposed to regular white rice). I'm cooking for growing boys, so when making white rice, I never make less than 4 cups (dry), and often it's more like 5-6 cups (dry), but with this wild rice, I can cook 2 cups (dry) and end up with plenty of rice for my family. They enjoy the rice (it isn't that they don't care for it), but this blend is more dense and filling than white rice, so even though it costs more than white rice, it takes less of it per meal, making it more affordable than it might seem. We eat a lot of different varieties of rice, choosing them according to our menu, and it's nice to keep this on hand to go with things like salmon or pheasant, or for whipping up a quick chicken and wild rice soup. One more thing to note--the bag seals shut with Velcro! The top of the bag doesn't open up all that wide, so you can't easily scoop out the amount that you want. (It can be done, just not necessarily easily.) It's easier to just pour the rice into your measuring cup. I think that about covers it! This is good rice, and I highly recommend it.

Love this Red Lake NATION FOODS Minnesota cultivated wild rice. Great rice if you cook it correctly. I use a pressure cooker, 20 minutes on GRAIN/RICE setting and then leave it in cooker under pressure for at least 25 more minute! Flavor is awesome. I cook it 50/50 with LUNDBERG Regenerative Organic Certified Wild Rice. Both found on Amazon. I cook a bunch and then freeze most for later. I eat a lot with just butter and honey! YUM

this is THE BEST rice - the company has a wonderful reputation of producing QUALITY products - I've cooked all their rice - and this by far is our favorite. We are not white rice eaters - and sometimes finding a quality brown or mixed wild blend can be challenging and expensive. This is our go to rice and it is so full of nutrition. The product is always fresh with excellent packaging. A great aroma when cooking with a mixture of long grain, short grain and wild black rice as well. QUALITY PRODUCT
