I have seen real hairgrass before, this is not real E. Parvula. I put these in, although several people warned me about scams like these, because I still had faith in the fact that it said it was "Dwarf Hairgrass," and that name is literally only used to describe a specific type of plant. Imagine my reaction when I realized I was going to have to literally tear down my aquascape. First off, only about 30% of them grew, leaving thousands of hideous seeds scattered on the substrate, secondly, the plant began to rot in the tank, since it is NOT a true aquatic plant, and thirdly, it took about three times the amount listed to so much as sprout, even though I have very high lighting. I have had to completely tear down my aquascape, losing ALL of my work and having to rehome all of the plants and livestock for a while. Not only that, but I have to now either spend several weeks trying to pinch thousands of seeds from almost 80 pounds of substrate, or completely replace it, which would be expensive, since it is a very high quality substrate. Don't waste your time, real hairgrass doesn't reproduce through seeds, but through expanding horizontally very rapidly. The only real hairgrass commercially available would be in tissue cultures, and would densely carpet a tank in the time it took for these to ruin my tank. So three cheers for the worst purchase I have ever made.

It said it would grow within 7-10 days it’s been 12 and only a few sprouted so far. Also the process of putting the grass seed in my tank had not gone well. The seeds needed up all through the water no matter what I did and severely stressed out my fish for a couple days.

Poor product I followed the directions exactly it’s been almost 20 days and only about 5 blades of grass. 99 percent of the seeds are bad and there’s no way to get a refund because it’s almost impossible to return seeds you planted. I am very experienced in growing almost any aquatic plant as well as terrestrials. But these are either too old or were stored improperly. I even took some into the lab guys at work and I was told the same thing I already saw they are just infertile.

Very few seeds germinated

the seeds are fresh, in 2 weeks the grass carpet is nice and thick. I recommend to apply heavily like lawn grass.

followed directions to a T just very thin growth in all 3 tanks I recently set up. Giessing less than 20% germination.

About 50% sprouted
