Provides everything need it to do & more
Researched over 100 alarms trying to find one with all features looking for, and finally found the answer. This provides all necessary alarm clock functions and has some numerous convenience features for the price. The most important capability provided is the dual alarm, since with my old alarm had a tendency to turn it off before ready to get out of bed and then ended up frequently oversleeping, making me late for work. Very easy to set one or both alarms, and also easy to turn off/on each independently. Can't comprehend some of the whining complaints here about some peculiarities, such as the clock beeping twice after the alarm is set, or it not being loud enough, or the light being too bright even at lowest setting. If you have a significant other sleeping at a different time of the day than you, then whoever goes to bed first sets both alarms, so the person going to bed later doesn't even need to set the alarm and wake the other who went to bed earlier. Is that so difficult a concept to grasp? Also if the alarm volume on the back is set to loud, it seems to be plenty loud. I like that it starts off soft and gradually gets louder, rather than so many others that start off immediately at maximum volume, and the highest volume is plenty annoying to slowly wake me up without that instant jolt out of bed like others. The brightness can be adjusted between normal, low and off. Even as light sleeper the low is definitely not too bright.Battery backup is a must-have feature for me since we have periodic power outages, and this goes on trips so no need to program the time or alarms at the destination or when return home, even while disconnected from an outlet for hours at a time.Nice feature is the alarm reset button, to turn off the alarm and reset for the following day. More whining in reviews about too many buttons on the top so their gorilla hands in the dark couldn't find which button was the reset. Hint: when the clock is facing you it is the button at the back on the furthest to the left, and it doesn't matter if there are 6 buttons on the top at the back (which there are) or 16 or 26-hit the button furthest to the left at the back. I can't believe some people complaining they couldn't find the snooze button. It is the front button on top that goes across the top of the alarm clock, very easy to find, since it is the button closest to you and it spans almost the entire width of the top.Another nice feature you won't find on many alarm clocks is the snooze time adjust from between 1 to 29 minutes if you don't want the default 8 minutes, up to one hour total snooze. If you want to snooze past one hour, do what I do and set one alarm, then set the second alarm to go off sometime after the first alarm's one hour block of time is up.The nap timer can be used for up to 90 min if you don't want to change your two daily alarm settings. So far very pleased with the product, hope it will last, considering how much time it took me to narrow down my choices.

Simple, Affordable, Good Features
I bought this to replace a bedside clock I'd have for a long time. I like that it has a nap alarm and a dimmer setting than my old clock, which I had to cover with my phone at night. My only disappointment is that it is so lightweight that it moves at the slightest touch. Not a big deal now that I'm used to it, and I would recommend this as a simple, affordable alarm clock with two alarms.

perfect brightness for sleeping
The alarm has approximately 68 beeps per minute (about 1 per second), and will beep for 1 hour before resetting itself. Soft beep setting peaks at 79 db at 1 meter/yard (over 60 db background noise.) loud enough to awaken a light sleeper in a nearby room if not shut off quickly. Loud alarm setting is about 85 db at one meter distance and seems like it should awaken a heavy sleeper. The first beep is slightly lower than the rest when the alarm starts, so there is no gradual increase in loudness, except when using the NAP feature. Setting the alarm is simple, although I wish it had minute and hour set buttons instead of one button the run through all the minutes to advance each hour. The clock is not a atomic clock ( which does not work in Florida so far from the Boulder, CO transmitter) and does not take time from local broadcasts. It has NO AUTOMATIC set feature and if all power (including battery power) is lost. it must be reset manually. It does come preset from the factory so in Florida when you plug it in it displays EST. If you happen to be presently on Daylight Savings time, push the "dst" switch on the back to "+1" , which will add one hour, and I assume you will have to slide the same switch to "-1" when DLST ends in November. If you are not in the eastern time zone when you plug it in, there is a "Time zone" button that rotates the time through each time zone. The snooze button will dim the display, the dimmest one is good for a darkened room, but you may have trouble seeing it across the room with a brightly lit room. The highest setting can bee seen across a brightly lit room, but may be too bright for some to sleep in a dark room at night. I prefer dim or medium brightness. at 1 amp and a 2.1 amp USB charge ports are on the front, I would prefer on the side to keep the phone wires more organized instead of taking up bedside stand space The case is black, almost a metalic look, dimentions 6 1/2" wide, 3 " tall, 2 3/4" deep display is 1" high. Battery backup (2 AA)batteries are difficult to get to, it requires a paper clip and pushing the slide door with some force to open, then close in the correct position and slide to close. (when changing batteries MAKE SURE you put the face on a soft surface to prevent scratching the display face) The power brick has a heavy 6 foot cord. Brick takes up about 4" x 1 3/4" x 2" space including cord as it pigtails out of brick. input 100 - 240 volts, output 5 volt, 3.5 amp. (will work in Europe with adaptor plug). Make sure you push the " NAP" button to reset the alarm for the next day, if you push the alarm "1" or "2" button it will shut that alarm OFF.
