Mechanix Wear CG Leather Framer

I really think these are a 3.5 stars. Here's why:I typically wear the Youngstown framer gloves but decided to try a different brand. I must say that I still prefer the Youngstown to these gloves, but I do use this pair as a backup to my working pair of Youngstown. I will admit that I have quite a history with Youngstown gloves, so I am probably a little biased. Here is what is different:- The fingers are a bit more exposed on the Mechanix gloves- The padding seems to be a little less breathable without offering much added protection (it seems like the padding is trying to protect against bruising, which just hasn't been an issue for me)- There is no "wipe pad" on the back of the thumb like the Youngstown (good for wiping occasional sweat from your brow)- The palm seems a bit more fragile in its stitching, but I really haven't had any problem with the stitching yetOverall, I'm still a Youngstown glove fan but at least I know that this is a viable option. I also had problem with a bit of plastic (a little star stamped out of it) on the inside of my wrist that scratched my wrist for a little while, but I figured this was just a small defect in my pair. I clipped the sharp edge of it off with a pair of nail clippers and it didn't bother me anymore.If you're curious: I wear a medium in the Youngstown and I also wear a medium in these. I'm not sure if all the sizes are equivalent but I know the sizing chart on the Mechanix website was useful in determining the correct size in these gloves.Be safe!

The biggest problem when using gloves as a mechanic is dexterity, you lose the ability to hold small nuts and bolts, or get your hands in small places and be able to use your fingers properly. Even the high dexterity versions of mechanix wear gloves for auto mechanic's are cumbersome to work with on vehicles, and I often times opt for wearing no gloves which either leaves my hands cut up or burnt working on hot cars. These commercial grade framer gloves with the fingerless tips are by far better for mechanic's then any other glove I have used. The 3 open finger ends allows for optimal dexterity when working on vehicles yet the thick leather padding provides fantastic heat and cut resistance while working under the hood. The impact protection is fantastic and prevents your hands from getting banged up when breaking bolts loose or removing parts. The rough surface of the palm padding provides great grip of tools as well. I would give these a 5 star recommendation to any mechanic out there looking for gloves that allow them to use their fingers and give the rest of their hands protection.

I have been wearing these to do general house construction, including concrete block work. The gloves are holding up to the rough use very well.The exposed fingers take some getting used to but when you do you will really appreciate the increased level of tactile feel when putting in screws or nails. The padded palms are nice, it adds a level of shock protection the i really needed. The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is i don't feel i have used them quite long enough to determine that i love them, but i do really like them.

These are great gloves. I've had then several weeks now, and I use them every day doing general construction. They were a little tight at first, but the leather had written on and they are very comfortable now.The extra leather on the ends of the fingers has completely worn off as of this writing, which was a little disappointing, but that's what it's there for I guess.If recommend these to anyone who does rough with with their hands but still needs the dexterity of a couple free fingers. Also, the Velcro straps being positioned on the back is very nice. No more catching the strap on something as I'm working.

This was exactly what I was looking for its perfectnfor my warehouse job. Im female and i got a medium and they fit rsther well. The only reason why i didnt give thus a 5 stars was in the pinky the seam wasn't cut correctly so I had to flip them and try and cut it myself cause it was causing irritation. Then where they put the tag dug into my wrist and gave me a red patch, so I also had to cut that out. Apart from that the gloves are well made and durable.

Haven't put these gloves to much use yet, but I'll give my "out of the box" opinion. I like the feel of the glove , the only thing I'm nervous about is the stitching, it's a bit iffy . Other than that, can't complain, great price for a seemingly good pair of gloves.

Bought these to use in my shop. The intent was to use them when chucking around lumber and setting glue-ups. Broke a part on my joiner the day I got the gloves and pulled out the hand planes to finish the job. These gloves are life savers for hand tool work. Plenty of padding in the palms that absorb some of the punishment of hand planing. The free fingers still allow plenty of fine motor control as well.

I love the knuckle protection and durability of the gloves. I'm a glove man. I have gloves for yard work, gloves for working out, and now mechanical gloves. Te open fingers design is interesting. It gives me the dexterity for the detail work.

Fantastic gloves, really comfortable, fit well and are hard wearing, they are brilliant for protecting your hands when working and have very good flexibility, leather fingertips are very nice and grippy.

釣り用に購入しました。磯でのロックフィッシュ狙いの時は、このくらいゴツい方が安全安心です。よろけたり転んだ時に磯場の岩に手をつくと、簡単に手に牡蠣殻や鋭い岩が刺さりますので。肝心の使用感ですが、アジのあたりも取れましたし(ロッドとラインのセッティングによるでしょうが)まずまずかと。長時間釣りを続けていると(連続3時間くらい休憩なしでランガンしてました)、小指のあたりに疲れを感じましたが、これは私だけかも。ストラップに百均のヘアゴムを通して輪っかを作っていますが、これはグローブを外した時に無くさないようにするためのカスタマイズです。よくグローブをどこにやったかわからなくなる人にはオススメです！
