Functional and artistic
We have a ledge high over our entry way in our new residence and a concern that our not so bright and somewhat clumsy cat who likes to explore ledges would jump onto the ledge, lose traction and continue 15 feet to her injury or death on the tile floor below. You laugh? This cat has already had one broken leg in her life and is getting old enough that there is probably no next time. Thus, I was looking for something to prevent a cat tragedy, but also look somewhat attractive, and not obscure the picturesque view on the other side of the ledge. This net, white 550 para cord, and several 3M Command hooks completed the parts list.My 14 year old son and I spent about an hour measuring, threading cord, adjusting, and finally installing the barrier. Since it's a hanging net with room to play, we got a bit artistic in our draping technique. Problem solved. It's been a month and the cat shows no interest in engaging net. My wife is considering hanging starfish, seashells, etc to produce a maritime theme.Installation tip: the para cord turned out to be a great way to work with and attach the net. If you try to hook individual squares of net, prepare for some frustration and nothing looking right. It won't easily lay out nicely. Not saying it can't be done that way. Instead, weave cord through the perimeter holes and tie the ends together to form a loop (don't commit to loop size until you finish - you can adjust if you don't cut the extra). The net will self adjust on the loop, plus the cord becomes an easy point of attachment anywhere along its length. Something I learned from this project - I read that advice from somewhere I don't remember when researching this project and it turned out to be very good advice, so passing along.

Tight mesh on the net makes this good for a lot of different applications
Terrific seller, great product, rigid net that can take a fair amount of weight and pressure. Most of the people are using this for sporting-related purposes but it is also good for pest-control, repelling birds and pigeons from landing on certain surfaces, draping over plants to keep out rodents, etc. Personally, I utilize the netting for capturing small toddlers that wander into my backyard unattended. Before you jump to any conclusions I work for the city of Louisville Parks and Recreation department and I trainjunior employees on how to perform crucial maintenance work on playground equipment. As such, I keep many different models of swings, slides, and merry-go-rounds in my backyard. Despite this being MY personal property and in spite of putting up plenty of signage (AT MY EXPENSE) on my fences that says children are unwelcome to enter my property to play, I have, on average, 5-7 toddlers getting their grubby hands on my personal training monkey bars. I use the netting at the terminus of each slide to capture trespassing kids. Holds weight very well no matter how much the toddlers cry and struggle. Five stars!

appears to work very well
We used it to provide protection from errant golf balls on our covered patio - we live on a golf course. I stapled side to side, and top to bottom, 11' wide and 8' high. With an upright in the center. I wouldn't have been able to stretch it the full 12' as advertised, but perfect for the 11'. The white color is perfect - it doesn't affect our view. My wife loves it, so It's perfect. We just installed it, so I don't know how it will weather, but I would replace it with the same.

Not for what you think
I actually purchased this to string from the top of my banister to the ceiling because my 3 yo climbed over and scaled the wall down to the foyer. He shockingly didnโt get hurt at all but knew I had do something, also my kids constantly threw stuff over the railing. This has stopped everything! Been up for a year and even with the kids sometimes pulling on it itโs still in great shape!
