Perfect, I definitely recommend this product.

Because these are pleated, there is more surface are to catch debris, and they last longer before needing to be changed.

I actually got a whole range of these filters to compare them. I found that many of them are in the same filtration zone, but some have to be changed more frequently. So I got a bunch to compare. And while some say "fine" there is apparently a range of fine not mentioned. The finer it goes, the more frequent you have to change them.Now, I haven't figured out how long it takes to get 15k gallons in my house. However, the 5 micron 15k lines up more with the other two filters fro 10 micron and 20 microns. I would suggest AMZN-SCWH-5 over the AMZN-P5A which has to be changed at a irregular interval.From what I have studied on this, it looks like the best way to do this, isn't just one whole house filter, but a several stage setup, with the micron counts going down. In my case, I have the 20 micro, 10 micron, and 5 micron filters. So that is what I would setup, and replace them every 3 months. This would cost roughly 20 dollars every 6 months.This filter is a pleated design, offering 20 microns. I was expecting this one to be a finer filter than the others I tested, because it was a pleated design. Turns out, it is not, and for the best filtering, you should follow this with a 10 micron cord filter and a 5 micron filter after this. All of them would get changed around the same time frame if you use the AMZN-SCWH-5 for the 5 micron size.All the filters I tested were all amazing quality.

This AmazonBasics AMZN-S1A-2PK Standard Duty Pleated Cellulose Whole House Water Filter is about as good as we can get with our situation where clay silt and sand play a large role in our rural Virginia well water. As you can see from the photo, the filter has very effectively cleared out our water leaving it filled with reddish debris and our water clean and with good, pure water flavor. If you live in similar water conditions, you will appreciate these filters as they are a good value and while any filter placed in our circumstances will have its life shortened, these filters last as long as they can be expected to last. I recommend this filter.

These AmazonBasics 2-PK Standard Duty Pleated Cellulose Water Filters work perfectly for my whole home water filtration system. They came just in time as I was running out of the usual ones I purchase from a big box store. I usually use filters in the 20-30 micron range, and these look and feel near identical to the brand name ones that I pay more money for. I have quite a bit of sediment in my well water, so using these filters is essential for keeping our water clean and clear for bathing, cooking, and drinking. They work just as well as the more expensive brands in trapping our sediment, so I'm happy. The price for a 2-pack is a great value, so they are a very economical choice to switch to for a little more bang for your buck. Two thumbs up from this household!
