Decent extender.
Very good extender. If you have a receiver, just connect your media device to the receiver first, then use the extender between you receiver and display device like your TV or projector. That way you don't have to worry about any audio related issue. It is also fine to connect with spdif like what the diagram on the back of the extender shows. But you lose high quality audio passthrough possibility.

Decent Extender Once Hooked Up Properly
This extender is not for the faint of heart! It is seemingly well-built, although not very pretty as far as looks go. Luckily, it’s small enough to hide out of sight, if you’re bothered by that sort of thing. It is a solid piece of tech, once you work through all of the bugs to get it set up.Difficulty level for setup… pretty hard. It is not intuitive, not that putting this sort of thing into the mix for primo sound really is for most people! The first thing to note is that this works better of you have a receiver thrown into your mix too. Before I connected the receiver into the whole setup, I really struggled with getting the sound to work properly. But connecting the receiver to my Blu Ray *before using the extender between my TV and the receiver produced excellent sound that far surpassed what I was experiencing before!

ARC works!
Exactly as advertised. I needed a way to run ARC HDMI from my component closet to my TV in the next room. Fortunately, I had CAT 5 cabling between the rooms and used this device. Others worked for carrying HDMI, but this is the only one that worked for ARC use. Beautiful 4K picture, perfect audio!

Doesn't work
Hdmi extender is not working at all. Chatted with seller's support , tried different ethernet cables - no video, no audio signal. Manufacturer promises to replace hdmi receiver, hope it will help. As soon as I get it, I will test and update my review.

very good!
I wanna extend Sony blu player to my bedroom LG TV, after research HDMI extenders, I decided the EZCOO ARC extender for good price, POE, CEC features.

Great for video, but no return audio at all.
Video works fine for everything except Dolby Vision HDR, which is as advertised so no complaints there. The problem is no sound actually transfers back to the amplifier, regardless of using ARC or optical. I removed the extender from the equation to make sure my TV and amplifier were handling it properly, and they do. Perfect ARC audio and optical audio in that scenario. Putting the extender back into the equation and all audio disappeared no matter the configuration (ARC or SPDIF). Very unfortunate. Waiting for email response from company to see if there's something I'm missing. Will update if I ever get it working.

Works for CCTV signal
New house construction. Transmitting CCTV over a 65 foot cat6 cable.

At least it has toslink
The Arc was intermittent would drop and then come back. Could never get it to work 100%.fortunately this extender also supports toss link which ultimately I ended up using for audio back feeding to receiver.

Good solution for hiding a PC elsewhere in the house.
This is the complete solution, including audio return channel support - which is interesting to me, though not something I can think of an immediate use for - at least not what I use these HDMI extenders for BUT if your connecting between a display that has built in apps or if you're using the tuner to something like a receiver that is too far away to use a regular HDMI cable then the ARC support here is going to be absolutely required.Make sure you understand that this is not IP compatible, it does not join your network, it doesn't get an address, and attempting to pass it through anything that expects TCP,UDP/IP will reject it. It is NOT a network device. The cable you use to connect the two transceivers has to be dedicated to this purpose, so if you already have an ethernet run that you rely on for network access you are not going to be able to simply add this to a switch and continue to use that cable as you have prior, you NEED TO RUN A NEW CABLE. Honestly, if adding too much latency is the trade off to that flexibility then I would rather this "HDbaseT" solution anyway.I used to struggle with wanting to move my gaming PC out of the living. When our first was born, I made the decision to move myself out of the dungeon (basement) when I wanted to do some gaming so I could at least be somewhat present with the rest of the family while I do my thing... this meant moving my gaming PC and connecting it directly to the family room AV system and it has worked out fine, but I've never liked having the big gaming tower right in visible shared area of the house (never mind what my wife things of it) and tried to compromise with an ITX build instead (more money, less performance...). I've tried my best to utilize the various local streaming options - Steam In Home Streaming, Nvidia Gamestream, etc. but always run into pain points with these solutions... more compromises compared to direct connection plus you still need some kind PC or PC like device on both ends to do it that way. Using this to get the video signal from one place to the other is just better in every way compared to traditional streaming.

Plug and Play

Runs really hot, but does what it is supposed to...
I have a 4K connection and it is running nicely. The unit does run very hot, almost too hot to touch and I worry about long term reliability as such. I am using the Arc connection but have not been able to assess if I am getting any benefit of Arc (just have not investigated the configuration). The one kicker was that I did need to buy a second power supply to put at the receiver end as the PoE could not reach. This might be due to the wiring needing to run through a patch panel, so having the option for a second power supply was good. I reached out to EZCOO whoo were very quick to reply and listed the power supply that would be needed, but it had to be purchased through their site. This in itself is not an issue except that the shipping coming up from the US nearly 3 times the cost of the actual power supply. Ezcoo should consider making the power supply available via Amazon so that the shipping costs can be more efficient. Given the initial cost of the unit, and the heat potential for wear, plus the cost of the additional power supply it is a little more costly.Update:A couple of things that I can report. On the Arc side I can confirm that Arc is working for me.On the Heat side, one of the units is now starting to fail and it appears to be heat related.I reduced the star rating further due to the warranty practices of the seller. These devices come out of China and if there is a failure you need to ship the device to them in China, at your own expense, and they will repair and send back to you. It is a very long process which means that you are not going to have a usable device until it is returned. Given the amount of heat these units generate, and the poor management of the heat, I am going to find an alternate solution and basically abandon this device.I do not recommend.

Does not work
No signal either with a POE switch or on a direct connection. I spent 4 hours troubleshooting connections and cables and can only get 2 out of 8 LEDs to light up.
