Made a differance
My AC was making a lot of noise and struggling to start up. I replaced the condenser but it didn't change. I added this kit and it spins up like it new and the noise went away.

Lowered the starting current requirement by a lot.
I'm concerned with other buyer's comments about not lasting long, but it lowered the amps drawn by the AC compressor while starting up from 26.7 amps to 9.6. This is what I was hoping for to alleviate the toll on the generator during a power outage.

Better then expected!
Unreal - this lowered the starting amperage from 70 to 35. Better then expected.I didn’t really need it but got it for a standby generator I am installing. I have 2 ACs and am trying to get my 12000 watt generator to run both if possible. This hard start kit may just make it happen.

Very poorly made once I saw the inside of it
Well it lasted three weeks and blew the top off of it the capacitor very cheaply made when I looked in the inside of it

Exactly what I needed
A friend who is an HVAC specialist recommended this product. I installed it easily, with help from youtube. I'm hoping to get a few more years out of an old unit.

Unreal
Inrush dropped from 82 to 34. Originally I gave this 5 stars because it was so easy to install and worked great. Three weeks later AC stopped. Opened panel and Capacitor had blown. Problem was I went with the recommendation to mount Capacitor upright..When it blew it spewed electrolyte onto the circuit board and fried it.. Now I out $700 for a new circuit board! Yes it was installed correctly....

Do not reccomend.
Worked great for about two weeks until the capacitor blew a hole in the top causing my house to smell like smoke. I was lucky that it didn't damage any of the surrounding components. The zip tie for mounting was also brittle and broke. The capacitor rating appears to small for the application that it is intended for. Note that the relay has a specific mounting orientation marked on it or it may also fail.
