I've used this for about 2 months now. For people wanting to limit sun exposure to their face and neck, look no further. I'm not going to say that you will win any beauty contests with this thing on, but it's absolutely perfect for its intended use - keeping sun of your neck and head. I have tried a number of different hats to use while I hike and run outdoors, but none were perfect. Here's a summary of why I love this gadget:1. It is light colored (I got the light grey one) and doesn't seem to get hot in the sun.2. It's a light-weight fabric that doesn't seem to overly restrict airflow when you are out and about.3. When it's windy out, you can use one or both of the Velcro attachment points to keep it from flapping around. The top one seems to perfectly keep the flap right under my chin so I can still breathe well.4. The fabric doesn't make a bunch of noise in your ears like other stiffer fabrics I have tried, plus it's light enough not to interfere with your hearing. This is a plus because there are mountain lions where I live and I would like to hear them just before they eat me.5. The whole thing doesn't rely on elastic to fit it on your hat, there's a pull string instead. I like this because other devices I have tried eventually seem to fail when the elastic gives up from being in the sun.6. It works with my brimmed boonie hat, as well as a regular baseball hat. I like this because in the past I tried in vain to buy a good hat that keeps the sun off me. I could find bad hats that kept off the sun, or good hats that didn't keep the sun off, but never both. Now I can wear my favorite hat AND have perfect sun cover.7. It's actually pretty good to wipe my sweaty face off from time to time. An added bonus.8. Dipping it in water periodically makes it very nice as a cooling aid, but it dries out pretty quickly. Probably not a bad thing though.9. It keeps bugs off my head pretty well as it flaps around in the breeze.I would like to list some down sides for completeness, but I honestly can't think of a single one. This thing is well worth the $20, and I would immediately buy it again if I lost the one I have.

After having several issues with skin cancer I wanted a better way to protect my head and face other that sun hats. I have spent a lot of money on these type hats. I was doing some research on different ways to protect myself and ran across this CapHat. I’m an avid outdoorsman and spend a lot of time hunting and fishing. You can trust me on this one, this CapHat is the best way to protect yourself from the sun. I have 3 of these and getting ready to order another. I keep one in my boat, every vehicle and hunting gear. As another reviewer stated, you’re not going to win a beauty contest with this CapHat, but who cares when you’re talking basal cell carcinoma. Best product ever made for Sun Protection along with sun screen.

I love this CapHat. I now have two. One in Navy Blue and one in Hi-Viz. it's easy to use and store. It's lightweight breathable and it fits loose around the face and neck compared to the face masks I normally use while Kayak fishing. Plus you can wear this CapHat several ways and still have great visibility and still keep protected from the sun and wind.I highly recommend this item. I had skin cancer when I was younger so I do my best to keep my skin protected while outdoors.

I do not have much extra time to write reviews, and, when I do, it is because a product is very bad or very very good. I prefer this CapHat cover and an extra long bill baseball cap for superior sun protection when I drive my Gator or when I use my Gravely mower. I wear hearing protection muffs over the sun cover and cap which I couldn't do with a wide-brimmed hat.If I am working outdoors and it is windy, the wide brimmed hat flips back or flies off. This is not a problem with the CapHat. I like this so much that I bought two - one navy blue and the other gray. I look forward to new products from the CapHat people. The CapHat is a winner!

The CapHat was a wonderful tool that I got for my husband. In the tropical, Costa Rican sun it gets so hot that this is a great tool to protect your neck, ears, eyes, and face from the suns rays.If you wet it, the evaporation process gives you a cooling effect. Don't think of this as a purchase, it's an investment for your health.And I love how easily you can travel with it. It folds so small and just carries your favorite hat

This was a gift for my dad and so far he loves it. Its great because he can swap between his regular cap that he wears fishing, and his full brimmed hat when he is at bowls or out in the garden. Our family camp a lot every summer, and I think it would be really useful for the kids who spend all day out in the sun or on the water. The handy thing about it being an attachment is you can adjust it or remove it if you don't require it (and it folds up small, so no issue to carry around). I'd recommend this product for anyone who spends long periods of time outdoors and want proper sun protection.The quality of the sewing and fabric are good and I expect this product will last Dad a while.Overall, very happy.

I am sooo happy I have this. It helps cut down the times I need to apply sunscreen and of course reduces the prospect of getting sunburn. Fabric is sturdy enough to help cut down the sun burn you get from wearing "thinner" fabrics even if they claim to be upf 30 or 50 rated. This cloth has a breathable, but thicker consistency which is required on hotter more glaring sun days

This is convenient to put on any hat and is just long enough to cover the neck and a little of the back. Also like the snaps and n front to cover the face. Haven't had to wet it down yet but like that I can. Actually getting a second one for my spouse.
