If you are looking for a travel mattress buy it
Lets be honest this is not designed for everyday use as a substitute for a normal mattress. Its designed for sleeping, so if you are leaving your child in it to play all day and then sleep, well the foam is pretty cheap so will eventually loose its integrity. My daughter is nearly two, and she has used this a few times now and we are happy with it. Her normal cot mattress is over £200 so the difference is huge but she sleeps on it 'like a baby' ?!??!I could not find a decent travel mattress which could fold down small and also be good value for money so I bit the bullet and bought this one. I do not regret it and as said before its for occasional use, so its fit for purpose. Will it last a year? I don't know but for £20-£25, its a small price to pay and take the risk and replacing it again rather than spending £100, I could get 5 of these mattresses for that money. The baby market is such a rip off! Spent thousands on stuff, so this is my 'dip in the water' of cheaper products and I am happy.Hope you find this helpful.

Great quality. Turns a cheap travel cot into a luxury one for baby.
Having seen the reviews for the travel cot I bought, I wanted to make sure my little girl had something comfortable to sleep on. This is a brilliant mattress, nice and thick and give great support. It is great to have in the travel cot when using it as a play pen too as the bright colours really stimulate my little girl. I often find her prodding the giraffe's face. The mattress unlike a lot of other travel cot mattresses folds down into a tidy and handy little case with handle for easy transportation. My one criticism and this it probably not picking is the material. It's quite crinkly sounding which could wake a light sleeper up. It's a bit of a wrestle with a fitted sheet, purely because the fold in the mattress means it tends to fold up a bit with the fitted sheet. I've found using a towel over the mattress and under the sheet though helps to alleviate the two issues mentioned. It can go in any travel cot, not just Hauck ones. Personally if I had my time again I would have bought a cheaper travel cot and used this mattress rather than the more expensive one that I went with.

Very firm to touch, but makes for a good night’s sleep
I was a Bit dubious about this mattress when it arrived as it feels so firm to the touch. I doubted that our baby would ever manage to get to sleep on it, never mind have a full nights rest. In needn’t have worried as she sleeps so soundly on this. Given its size it fits perfectly in the travel cot without space down the sides for anything to become lodged. We also have a much thinner folding travel mattress that feels much softer and comfortable but mustn’t give her the support she needs at night and means that she wakes up when using that one.Go against your instincts and buy this mattress. Don’t be put off by the firmness, it’s obviously perfect for our small people!

insufficient support, flimsy foam and thin cover
I bought this to go with the Hauck travel cot. after use I wanted to wash the removable cover, during the process the foam started tearing, and I wasn't being heavy handed. the design is a good idea, it's a shame the materials are of such poor quality. I expected better quality for the price

Ok as a playmat, NOT as a mattress to sleep
I bought this mattress for my 10 months old baby to have naps at a wedding. The item didn't arrived on the designated day but two days later, therefore I couldn't use it at the wedding. Apart from this delivery issue, the item is not good at all. The foam inside is quite hard and not comfortable. The cover outside is nice and colourful. It is not made of plastic but looks like a synthetic fabric, it's very thin and doesn't look waterproof...I didn't try pouring water on it though.I would never make my dd sleep on this mat. It' ok as a playmat I guess.
