Nothing like a ribeye hard seared to medium rare perfection on a 1200 degree campfire with 6" red hot coal bed.I don't usually write reviews but this product is so perfect that I had to. I have put this fire ring through 2 seasons at my vacation rental, and through 5 day mega fires that would have left other fire rings smelted into a whimpering puddle of goo.This is the toughest fire ring I have ever seen. The pictures do not do it justice. I have packed a 1/4 cord of wood in it at one time and this thing just chews it up and asks for more. I seriously can not believe it has not melted or at least warped. Nope. It is as good as new and the swivel is still perfect. Just grilled the best steaks I ever ate for the extended family over Thanksgiving week.It is a must have for any real back yard or fire pit. The swivel and grill grate are incredibly heavy duty. The handle on the grill grate never gets hot and one can swing it into use without gloves.I saw other comments about rust? Burn that paint off on day one and run with the big dogs. This fire ring is legendary.**Update 11/2022- 3 summers in the short term rental and still performs like new. Was there last week and someone was resting their foot on the grill grate handle. No problem. Bulletproof. Just purchased my 3rd. 1 for me and 2 as gifts. Great sale price. Still my favorite Amazon purchase. I don't know this company but I wish everything was built like this.

After going through many cheap fire pits that just lasted a few years, I wanted a campground-style commercial quality fire ring. This ring is a one piece ring (there are some that come in sections which I do not want). I used a few bricks from Lowes or Home Depot to set it in to make it look even better, but it can be used as it comes. Attach the grate (I opted for the swivel grate) with one screw and you are good to go. It’s a heavy ring, and a heavy grate, exactly what I was looking for, and it looks like it will last for a long time. Time will tell. First grilling was a blast!

Purchased to be able to cook over a wood fire as well as have a fire ring. Item is well made, heavy duty, and the swing out cooking surface works exactly as pictured .No complaints.

I believe this is a very nice fire pit ring and I DID receive all the parts to it. It's heavy and should last a long time. Since I have a half a brain I was able to install the handle and the swivel grill with no problems and without non included instructions. The price is right for the quality and it COULD have scored 5 stars... BUT....... My ring look like a 5th grader welded it together... My wife could weld better than what I see. I was very disappointed when I opened the box and saw the shoddy weld. I have a grinder, welder, and any other tool to smooth it off and re weld if need be but... I shouldn't have to. I have sent a complaint to the maker and we'll see how they handle it. Personally I think it would be fair if they save themselves the return shipping and just refund me say $25? or so.. I don't know, maybe I am just too picky. If I surround it with pavers it would cover the bird crap weld but I hadn't planned on doing so. Your thoughts?UPDATE: The company contacted me after I sent them an email and pics. They were very speedy and professional in replying . They offered to either replace the ring or give me a 29% refund because of the weld. I took the refund and will smooth it out myself. The refund was very fair I felt and it saves them shipping costs on a new one and also the old one returning . I'm happy. Yes, I highly recommend this product and the customer service department is great.

We absolutely love this pit, the size and quality are just what I wanted rather than something cheap that will rust... This pit will last a long time.

I initially did a lot of research before deciding to buy this ring and it came down to the thinkness of the steel, the depth of the ring, and the removable grate. After using it for 5 months everyone agrees it’s the nicest fire pit they’ve seen. I purchased 36 retaining wall blocks from Lowe’s along with some lava rock and landscape adhesive. 12 blocks fit perfectly around the 32” grate to the point where the ring just sits on top of them, after hammering the anchor tabs in. First we dug down a few inches and leveled the ground and then started laying the blocks. After each level we put the ring back on and adjusted the blocks for a snug fit. Then we dumped a few bags of lava rock in. At the end the pit sits around 10in high, perfect for putting your feet on and not too high to block the heat from getting to you. It took 2 of us a little less than 2 hours to build, which included digging into the hardest soil I’ve ever dealt with. I like having a grate for cooking but I hate having one on all the times as it’s in the way and can be a tripping hazard at night. But not installing the bolt the grate can still swing and pivot as designed but you can just take it off and store it elsewhwere when not in use. So far it is holding up nice as expected in the high Rocky Mountains. No signs of rust, but it’s an outdoor fire pit so I don’t really care about rust. The lava rocks drain the rain well and I haven’t had to shovel any ashes out after about 20 uses as they sift through the rocks and dissipate into the ground with some rain. If you’re looking for a state park grade ring at a great price, this is it.
