Kit is consistent with price (read comments!)
I bought this kit having read the reviews so I wasn’t expecting any instructions. I think the kit is priced appropriately given its downfalls/difficulties.That being said, here are some things that may help someone else:1. The threader is NOT long enough. I struggled with it a few times until I figured out “I can make my own” out of basic wire. It made a HUGE difference. Much less frustrating2. The kit doesn’t come with glue or scissors, claiming customs won’t allow them. I’ve bought other kits that have come from the same place and they had both scissors and glue3. The monks cloth is great. Very soft and very forgiving. Practice! I ended up redoing the white bit 3 times. First time sucked because I had no idea what I was doing. Second time I wasn’t happy with the loop height so I switched a few times to see what each setting looked like (see pics). Third time I used the D setting on the needle.4. For the background I flipped the fabric because I liked the flatness and consistency of the back of the white stitches so much that I wanted to use that for the background5. I tried a couple of times to do the back nose/smile and it never looked good and/or would disappear when I did the darker brown muzzle (which I used setting B for). I ended up adding it after using a farming needle6. I attached the pompoms using thread and a sewing needle. I ran the thread through one side and then out the other (So you cant see the thread from the front) and tied the two ends on the back of cloth7. I added the flowers and eyes on last, flipped the piece over and brushed it all with basic white glue (like Elmers). I have a feeling they may fall out after time so I didn’t cover the back with felt so I can always re-poke the flowers/eyes through if needed. That’s it! Have fun :)

No instructions
The latch kit has all of the necessary parts, however, it doesn't come with instructions, so you have to go online to discover what to do. For a product marketed as a beginner kit it would be nice to have some instructions. The punch came with a plastic handle that had some cracks in it and while it hasn't broken yet, I'm not sure how long it will last. You can complete the hooking without the handle if necessary. The thin copper wire provided is very difficult to see when put down and we have been on the floor a few times searching for it. A more visible colour for this wire would be well received. There is plenty of materials and the frame is easily put together. The pattern is quite visible and easy to follow once you discover what to do.
