Smartish iPhone 11 Slim Case - Gripmunk [Lightweight + Protective] Thin Cover (Silk) - Black Tie Affair

Typically use the official Apple Leather case that Apple releases with each iPhone. I've had the tone since launch and it was starting to get worn, so I wanted something to show off the great color of my iPhone 11 Pro. I found this on Amazon while looking for a transparent/translucent, slim, and protective case. This case delivers all 3 things with different flavors of each on each of the sidesBack SideThe back side side is translucent that has a cut out for the camera. It is clear enough to tell which color your phone is, but shade it so it looks a bit frosted. There is a softer side to it that makes it feel quite good in the hand. While I do really like the back, it can get scratched up a bit. This would be very similar to any clear case, so I'll cut it some slack there.SidesThe sides were surprising for me. Perhaps I didn't look at the pictures enough, but there were some good surprises. There are indentations below the volume key and power key on both sides to help make the phone easier to hold. They are textured as well to make it easier to hold. The buttons can feel slightly stiff at times, but nothing that you can't get used to. The corners are slightly thicker to help protect against drops without just sticking out like a sore thumb.FrontThere isn't too much to say about the front. It provides a good enough lift that will keep your screen from touching whatever surface you put it face down on unless you have a really thick screen protector.Overall, its a great case for the price. I like it better than the official Apple clear and looks to be better than many of the others in the store. For future phones, I'll defiantly check this brand and line out for future cases for my mobile phones.

Tried several cases for my iPhone 11. This is my favorite by far. Has a wonderful side texture, fine texture but grippy. The material is not rubbery. Rather, it is firm but slightly pliable... not much, though. Consequently, it isn’t sticky and doesn’t move easily on the narrow ridge that extends above screen. I’m using a tempered glass screen protector and this ridge rises above and protects the screen all the way around. The main camera is protected, without adding much additional height on the back. There are actually slight finger indentations on the sides, too, adding to the “Kung-fu” grip. The indentations are barely perceivable but they are there and they feel good. I also have an adhesive metal plate for a car magnet-mount attached in the back under the case and it works great and looks and feels nearly smooth. I usually buy 4-5 different cases with each new phone to find one that works. I found this on the third try. I tried one of the famous and expensive ultra-ultra slims and while it felt like next to nothing, that was as much protection it would give and it was slippery. I know the name of this case sounds gimmicky but this is the real deal!!! All cutouts are perfect! Best case I’ve ever owned...period. I doubt I will ever wear it out but I like it so much I literally bought two more as backups. I’m not taking any chances that these aren’t available a year or two later. I don’t do that often but for things I REALLY like, I’m willing to cover my bases. try this case. You might feel...and do...the same.

I’ve bought a lot of iPhone cases over the years, with varying degrees of success. Sometimes I’d sacrifice protection for sleekness, other times I’d feel like I was putting my phone in a vault that added an extra ten pounds to the device.Well, after my old iPhone 11 case (Spigen Liquid Armor) started to deform and my phone began slipping around inside, I was left searching for a new one. And I’m happy to report that I’ve found the absolute best, at a price that in no way should be this low.The Kung Fu Grip feels wonderful on the device. The outer edge is pebbled rubber, but the surface is so fine that it doesn’t feel rubbery or sticky, it almost feels like fabric. There are also some indentations along the edge that make it even nicer to grip easily.The back of the case is a somewhat rough matte plastic. I’ve seen some other reviews complaining that it’s slick, but that’s not really the truth. Yes, the back doesn’t have the same texture as the sides, but if that texture was on the back as well, it would probably be hard to get in and out of your pocket.The case also fits the iPhone very nicely. It doesn’t add much thickness to the device, but also has a nice lip to protect the screen.My only slight worry about it is that unlike other cases that have a similar lip to protect the cameras when laid down on a surface, this case is flush with the cameras on the back. This does make it a sleeker case, but it leaves the cameras exposed. I guess some of that is on Apple, though, for making a phone with such large lenses that stick out so far from the back of the phone.

Update: I’ve gotten used to the texture on the back. If it gets wet it leaves a spot, so you have to wipe it off with rubbing alcohol. Around the camera, it’s a bit sharp where the grippy part gives way to the frame around the camera. Not enough to hurt, I think, but distracting. Otherwise, very good case. I like how thin it is. It’s taken a few drops onto hardwood floors from waist and pocket height without a problem.Just received it, so I won’t do an in-depth review, but I’ll do an update if it impresses me or disappoints me in any way.First off, the back panel feels VERY slippery. I was hoping for a texture similar to Otterbox, but this is almost the opposite. It reminds me of an emery board. Honestly not sure if I like it.The side grips are a different texture, more solid and grippy. I was worried the grooves would be more noticeable but it’s only when you’re really looking for them that you see them.It’s very thin and lightweight, which I like.Overall, seemingly good case for a good price.

This looks the business, offers great protection and is very affordable. Cut outs all in the correct places and hasn’t been off my iPhone since I bought it. Great!

Wanted to try a different case after being loyal to Spigen and Apple cases all these years. Turns out to be one of the best grip cases out there. It slides right in your pocket but provides a solid firm grip when. Holding your phone upright or in landscape. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a case that doesn’t leave fingerprints, isn’t slippery and protects the phone.

This is a case to buy if you like matte black cases. No fingerprints or smudges or even scratches are left on this. The quality of materials are amazing. Definitely one of those cases where you have to try it for yourself. I’ve found my new favourite case!
