Product has good craftsmanship and is easy to get on and off.

This is a very well made and effective collar. That said we still feel a bit bad about using it on our dog. This is the second HS collar we've used and there's no doubt about it they work for dogs who are strong willed and just want to pull you instead of walk with you. Our dog outgrew the first one and it was a little different style.The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because it looks "mean". Which really isn't fair to the product and is just my projection of feelings to using what we refer to as Pinchy or crown of thorns. It should definitely only be used as a training tool and not left on your dog all the time. This particular collar also works similarly to the Martingale style collar so when your dog doesn't pull, the prongs are loose and do not pinch. Additionally the prongs themselves are rounded and do not cause damage to the dogs skin when used properly.If you are still hesitating because it looks cruel, I fully understand! We only gave the HS type collar a try during a training class on the suggestion of the trainer. It was literally like day and night at the very first use in the class and witnessed by everyone!If you are having a hard time walking your dog, are afraid of getting hurt from a strong dog and just want to have a pleasant walk instead of playing tug your arm off, I highly recommend this collar. Your dog will likely respond immediately as it gets their attention. After using this collar we are getting to the point where walking her is pleasant and we don't have to use it every time.
