Turtle Beach - Ear Force PlayStation 4 Upgrade Kit for Turtle Beach Headset Compatibility - PS4 (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

After hours of searching how to connect my old Xbox 360 turtle beach x12 headset to my ps4 pro I came across this device. Works great! I've actually bought some other headphones and a couple adapters before I knew this existed but I didnt like the newer headphones. This upgrade kit was discontinued on turtle beaches website but I was able to find it here on amazon.

I used to think that sound adapters like these were just gimmicks to get you to spend extra money. In the case of this particular model, I was wrong. I had been having some feedback issues with my Call of Duty Black Ops II Kilo Limited edition headphones. My sound kept clipping to a lower muddy sound and I eventually found that the extended audio cable I used to connect the headphones into the controller(so I could have a louder audio sound) had a short in it. I tried a new similar audio cable and the clipping stopped but I unhooked everything to at least give this adapter a try. I am in AMAZEMENT of the sound quality. Firstly, it gave me the louder audio sound I was looking for and helped eliminate all the extra cables I was using to achieve it. Normally if I used the Kilo headset with just USB the audio had a very pingy tin sound to it. I can actually hear footsteps and bullets whizzing by. The only feature I dislike is sound plays through the TV and the headphones. That's not a real biggie as I can just turn the sound on the TV to 0. Some like the echo effect but I don't. Note that this adapter is extremely easy to hook up and get up and running. However, the instructions that come with it are a little bit off, but that may be due to the menu changes that PlayStation has made to the PS4 over time from the time it was written. All in all this was a great purchase. If you have an old pair of TB's then I suggest you try this out. These do exactly what they're advertised to do! I had an old PX22 mixer line that was on my PS3 that was stashed away when the PS4 became my primary console, and Ive always missed the advantages of having the mix line vs the standard audio coming from the controller. Im glad I stumbled across this when looking for a new headset (Sades SA920, check them out) because now the glorious bass and treble control is back baby! Easy setup, it comes with instructions on how to plug in the device and which settings to change on the console in order to get mic and game audio. Best part about having the PX22 line again is that there is no longer a need to plug the headset into the controller. Even better, ANY headset which has the 3.5mm jack will work with this system, opening up a wide array of options on headsets you can plug in, either with or without the mic. Take advantage of tuning the sound with any headset. Great buy!

It works, but, if you have the slim PS4, you need either a USB extender or a longer optical audio cable because there is no optical audio connection on the slim PS4 so you have to use the one on your TV. The usb for the console is super short and the optical audio cable provided doesnt come close to reaching your TV, so you either need a longer optical audio cable or a usb extender.

Update: I've had this product for almost a couple of months now & though it does work as advertised. The cons of it is that the digital optical cable feels and is made cheap. I ended up unintentionally breaking it. In a way it's kinda my fault because I kept removing the box having the cable to readjust position everyday. Just thought I'd put that out there. Leave the box alone & it will work just fine.They work perfectly on my PS4, just as they exactly did on my PS3. Honestly, I do have the money to buy one of the more fancy PS4 headsets but the deal breaker was the in line volume control. It was such a hassle beyond belief. Love my seperate controls. This little box was worth the wait! Keep in mind that I am a very passionate gamer, so this kind of thing is very important for me. If anything, this little box works better than expectations. I highly recommend this product

If I could give less than one star I would give 0 stars. This item does not work, I called customer service via phone. The said tech support is only done online. She told me to look at support documents. I will never buy another turtle beach product in my life. Zero phone support. That tells me that not only don’t care about there customers but do not Car about there products they sell. I don’t think this company will be in business in the next two years. It sounds like customer support is running the business and not the sales or upper management. Poor job grade of F- if you are some how moraculasly able to get through to someone and the time it would take, you could of bought a non turtle beach headphine and had it delivered. Just another American company living off its name that will go out of business.

The PX21 headset that I used with my PS3 is still in fantastic shape even after several years of use, so I was hesitant to buy a brand new headset when I recently got a PS4. Unfortunately, the PX21 is not directly compatible with PS4 due to the latter's lack of a connector the red and white RCA audio cables. This upgrade kit allows me to use the PX21 just like I did with my PS3, including the all-important independent controls for game and voice chat volume. Setup was a breeze, and the converter itself is quite small and nondescript. Unlike other (admittedly cheaper) audio conversion options you don't need to plug this thing into an outlet. I knocked off a star only because the device seems overpriced to me for what it does.

Works exactly as I wanted it to. I can now use my turtle beach headphones I had for my xbox 360 and use them instead on my ps4. No audio issues or anything.

Me he permitido 'rescatar' del olvido para la PS4 unos auriculares Turtle Beach modelo P11. No recordaba lo bien que sonaban, a pesar de ser una gama media-baja con algunos años a sus espaldas. El adaptador añade más cables a los cables, eso sí, pero es algo inevitable. La sensación de producto bien acabado la tiene y cumple su función de manera impecable. A los que estuvieran contentos con los P11 -y no me extraña- y les de pereza comprar otro modelo más actual, les recomiendo la compra. El envío, como casi siempre, en el plazo prometido.

Es un excelente producto para las personas que ya invirtieron en unos headset para consolas de generación pasada y los quieren seguir usando en su ps4 este producto es perfecto solo los conectas y listo a seguir usándolos, la lista de compatibilidad es muy amplia por lo que se podría decir que todos los turtle beach están incluidos, funcionan a la perfección y no baja o distorsiona el sonido se mantiene muy fiel. incluye todos los cables que vas a necesitar y hasta algunos extras que ya tendrás por tus audífonos, una excelente opcion

Um mein PX22 weiterhin zu nutzen, suchte ich eigentlich ein neues Headset. Die per YouTube angepriesenen AC-Converter Lösungen hatten mich nicht überzeugt. Da ich den sogenannten Igel in der Tasche habe und mein PX22 tadellos funktionierte, sah ich diese Alternative für die PS4. Das Set (DAC1 & Zubehör & QS Guide) macht einen hervorragenden Eindruck, stellt vollen Funktionsumfang her und lässt mein PX22, klanglich wieder voll brillieren ohne das lästige anschließen des PS4-Pads. Wer sein altes Turtle Beach (P11; X11*; X12*; PX11; PX21; PX22; Z22; CoD's; Black Ops; MW3; Marvel SEVEN) an der PS4 nutzen will, ist hiermit sehr gut bedient.* ( X11 & X12 müssen leider mit PS4 Chat Cable & Pad verbunden werden!)

ho comprato di recente un paio di turtle beach ear force px22 che sono perfettamente compatibili con ps4. L'unico problema e che collegandole liscie, posso regolare solo i bassi ed il volume generale andando quindi a rendere inutile l'amplificatore incluso.Con questo upgrade ora posso ritrovare tutte le funzionalità che rendevano queste cuffie fenomenali su ps3 potendo quindi utilizzare tutti i controlli dell'amplificatore e controllare separatamente il volume di gioco e quello della chat!!! in più grazie al cavo tosslink incluso si può godere anche di un buon audio digitale! se avete un vecchio modello di turtle beach non buttatele via, vale la pena comprare questo upgrade kit...le vostre vecchie turtle beach avranno vita ancora per un bel pezzo!
