Pokin For Whirlpool Filter Bypass Cap WP12664501 plugs EveryDrop Filter 4 slot

I have an older Whirpool Fridge and I just got an RO system too so I wanted to bypass the filter. I found this little guy and it took a few weeks to get here but I am glad it did. It seems a little expensive but it does work and the water pressure is great now! I will update if it starts to show leaking or something.

It is a cap. Crazy expensive, but it does do the job perfectly. No leaks. I ran filtered water to my fridge, so the fridge filter was no longer necessary. However, the old filter had decided it was clogged, and I no longer had the plastic cap. Once I replaced the old filter with the cap, I had water, and ice again.

Product description said it would fit W11395888 which matches what Whirlpool says is needed for my fridge. It was not possible to turn the plug to fully close even with the water valve turned off. Unwilling to break the valve fixture with excessive force. Had to return.

Factory product with a perfect fit. Replaced my everydrop 4 filter (green). The water pressure to the refrigerator is back and now we can enjoy cold water from our RO system.

Our whirlpool fridge uses those expensive filters that we dont replace as often as we should. We jut got our RO system hooked up and now we don't need them anymore. It does the job of bypassing the filter without leaking. I had a hard time getting it to twist on. What I reccomend is to place a cup under the spout, twist the plug and run some water into the cup (this relieves the pressure enough to easily twist in place).

The ease of install was very nice. The cap fit perfectly with no problems.

I was originally thinking this did not fit. I was going to throw it out but tried one last time to screw it into the filter housing. You have to push down incredibly hard and then turn it into place. Didn't make the water dispense any faster though.

Bought a new RO system and this worked great as a bypass for the water filter. A little expensive for what it does though.
