I have never had nice nails; they are dry, chip easily and peel. It never bothered me much - I could still keep them fairly neat-looking - but I have a creative job where I have to present and point a lot. Once I joined a workplace where "done" nails on women was the standard, I started to get a little self-conscious about my hands. The first time I got a gel manicure on my natural nails (acrylics aren't for me) I immediately became addicted. For the first time I actually had a free-edge and my nails felt strong. Of course, underneath, they were still the same old weak, dry, peeling nails ... and the gels started to make then worse. I needed to take a break from gels so my manicurist pointed me towards some "organic" nail color she had, but I did not like any of the colors. I wanted something sheer that would not show as much as it inevitably chipped off. I purchased this set and brought it to my manicurist for professional application - results are in the photo. So far so good - it seems very durable even if my nails are still thin; it feels like there's nothing on my nails at all. I really don't know how well it will last, and I doubt I could apply it this well myself. (I'm really bad at applying any nail color). But the photo shows this product applied right after a dark gel manicure was soaked off, and I'm pretty happy with the results. Edited: After a week, the professional application sill looked good and for the most part, stayed intact. I did notice that some of the tips chipped a little, but without exception, this was only on the tips of nails that where peeling themselves. So I think it's safe to say that it stays on the surface of a healthy nail better than it stays on the surface of a peeled nail. It's also not difficult to touch up the tips with the white color. Hopefully with regular use my nail surface will be healthier and I'll notice less peeling in general.

Easy to use and I love the natural look. My most used polish. I used to get acrylics and wanted something to use and possibly benefit my nails afterwards. I take a b complex everyday so my nails have much approved from that alone. I used just the naked base for awhile, to let my nails repair a bit and breathe. But the results are very nice after using the whole kit. Saved a lot of money at the salon with this purchase. And it’s a nice weekly self care ritual for myself. Great for mani’s & pedi’s. Pro tips: The white is easier to use if you reduce the amount of polish on the brush to a minimal, and rotate your finger, on a table, and apply in a gentle single sweep. Then reapply as needed, the same way. The polish is so sheer, I feel it’s very forgiving. The satin seal/top coat, is best used with just this set. It gives a cloudy appearance dry, and has muddled other polish colors I’ve used with it. I may buy a different top coat to try with this set. All in all, I love this set. My nails have been very healthy, and look naturally beautiful. Would highly suggest this product.

I found this set when researching vegan and cruelty free nail polish. I'm so pleased with it! This set has 4 full size bottles designed to work together to create a contemporary French manicure. I have such problems with my nails splitting and this polish said it would help make my nails stronger. So far so good! I haven't used the white for the tips yet since they haven't grown enough but I'm in love with the base coat and the slightly pink polish. It goes on smoothly and dries very quickly. And best of all it lasts 6 straight days without a single chip! I have never had polish that lasts more than a couple of days. I'm not wild about the top coat as it has a satin finish which is kind of matte. I prefer a shiny finish. So I just use one coat of base, then 2 coats of pink and done! I can't see myself ever buying another brand. The seller shipped quickly and I received it after a few days (I'm not a Prime customer). Excellent product, excellent value, highly recommend!

Good product that has safe ingredients (not toxic) but did not contain a shiny top coat.

I have been using for a few weeks now. I am beyond happy with this purchase. After wearing gels and acrylics for years, I was ready to stop spending so much money and time going for manicures. I also really wanted easy to care for nails that I didn't have to worry about. This makes my nails not only look great, but feel great too. I love the satin finish and how it makes the nails look so smooth and actually matte. However, I also found that by buying and adding a top coat of Zoya Gloss Coat, my nails are even more durable. It looks and holds up like a gel polish. My manicure has been lasting at least 5 days which for me is incredible. I am rough on my hands and as an artist, my hands are always in paints, mediums and I'll confess the nails are sometimes used as tools (I know I'm not supposed to...but....) I am also super pleased with how fast this whole system dries. I am not stuck waiting for hours for multiple coats of polish to dry. Love love love this and will definitely keep using. I want to try some of the colors now too.

All my life I have hated the look of nail polish…always wished my nails looked clean and natural. I always had very bad nails; thin, pealing and breaking very low…it was painful and ugly. I called them farmer nails. About 23 years ago I started at a job that required dressing well… My nasty nails put runners and holes in my expensive pantyhose. I started having my nails done with LCN by a lady in New Jersey. I loved it! With LCN nails I saved a fortune on pantyhose! Then I moved to Florida (no more pantyhose!) but loved the LCN nails and found a gal (an hour away) who did the LCN. I went to her for 14 years and she got worse and worse at doing the nails. She quit and I found another gal just 45 minutes away. She didn’t do the LCN very well : ( and she suggested changing to shellac nail paint… …with acetone soaking – ugh – didn’t like that at all!! And it didn’t hold up well. SO having paid for visits to these nails salons at $40 + tip a visit and going every 2 weeks + holiday gifts it was costing me about $600 / year. If something is great and you like it – ok for the expense but I didn’t like it…so THEN I decided to try doing my own nails and investigated many many products and decided to try Zoya. I spent $35 on 2 Zoya products ZOYA Remove Plus in Big Flipper Bottle, 8 Fluid Ounce ZOYA Women's Starter Manicure Kit WOW! Am I happy : ) It’s so easy to use and it looks SO natural. I get so many compliments and I’m very very happy happy.! My nails never looked this good with LCN or Shellac WHAT will I do with that $600 / year savings now? I’ll come up with something at 70+ years old…. : ) : )

I love this stuff. It's like a French Manicure without the artificial look. Some comments complain about lack of shine; that's the express purpose of the satin seal finishing coat--to make your nails look natural-- not obviously polished, but well groomed. If you want gloss, Zoya sells a glossy seal finishing coat that apparently goes on after the satin seal coat. (See Zoya Nail Polish Naked Manicure Perfector System (Naked Manicure Glossy Seal - ZPNMGS) , not the least expensive offer, but one with helpful info.) The pink color in the kit suits me perfectly. I didn't have discolored nails, so I didn't need help from the separately available lavender color; however, as a medium-dark olive WOC, I wondered if the pink color would suit my nails. It does. Zoya does offer other tints, . (The men's kit includes the buff color.) The pink color is like a milky sheer. It isn't transparent, but also isn't opaque. I also wondered whether my hands would be able to swipe the white (again, a milky sheer) color across my nail tip. No problem and no stark white nail tips. Your hands may get different results. I also found the finish protective and lasting. (I use rubber gloves most of the time for washing dishes.) It gives my nails more strength (like most polishes). Don't expect a full-blown fully-defined crisp French Manicure, but it will care for your nails and make them look well cared for.
