This laptop was the best investment that i have made yet. I am a video editor and gamer and this laptop does it all.The dedicated GPU helps take the stress off the CPU and the body of this laptop has converted me to only use back lit keyboards. I love the aluminum body and the programmable button that i can set to do just about anything. Would recommend to anyone who's willing to pay this much for it... Also its on sale at Microcenter.com

Update again: Seven years later and still going strong! Buy an Asus! (I might be buying another Asus myself soon due to Microsoft's Windows 11 requirements, this computer itself can keep on going). I have now replaced the battery but lasting six years is good for any laptop battery.Three years later and still going strong. This is a great laptop. It's strong and sturdily built, has excellent sound quality, backlit keyboard, many adjustable settings, very few bloatwares or ad type things popping up when it arrived and was a great deal when I bought it.However it is not 100% perfect. The volume out levels are such that connecting it to headphones will leave you turning the volume way down whereas connecting it to your TV or third party speakers will have you turning the volume all the way up to max and sometimes still wishing for louder. All the connections are on the sides with none at the front and back, causing not enough space between them, especially the USB devices and the lock and power plugin. Also the power plug is too close to the blueray drive. The four arrow keys are not eaily distinguished from the other keys. There are no built-in lights for num, cap and scroll locks.Anyway, the downsides are very minor considering the amazing performance and durability of this laptop. Buy an Asus!

The GPU is NVIDIA GeForce 840M, not GT 840. But i don't know why there is a GTX 760M sticker on laptop. I had a Glimpses on it. Totally the sound is great. It's a beautiful, powerful and affordable (Due to it's specification) laptop. The screen quality is great and I am satisfy from the shipment.

EditVery disappointed in asus. They do not stand behind their products, buyer beware. They can put together a laptop or a phone with seemingly great hardware but it will fall apart. They repair center which i paid for did not diagnose jack *** just sent it back saying they can't reorder a motherboard. They did not diagnose which part was wrong and simply said they did not have the part in stock. No option to order it, no more details on diagnosis, because it was null. Never buying an asus product again.---hardware wise, awesome. HOWEVER: it was impossible to downgrade to Windows 7, because of driver compatibility. Windows 10 on this laptop constantly causes random issues, and Windows crashes from the get go. I've used this laptop for a while. same unexplained issues when wiping and re-installing. Researched model and found out other users are experiencing the very same issues and no fixes sometimes.Hardware wise it is great again unfortunately I would not recommend it at all because of driver backward compatibility/Windows issues.

worth every penny....Just Buy it without looking more if you want to buy a high performance laptop for gaming...Don't waste your money in touch screen laptops...
