Not as advertised! discrepency between the tweed, and the bulky weight!
I love the yarn. It works up very nicely, however, there should be two listings by the manufacturer. one being if it's classified as a tweed, multi-color, etc. 5 oz. 81 yards. 2 bulky #6 4 oz. 64 yards. The Phoenix Azalea can be under both. I bought the one stating it was 5 oz., but got the 4 oz. Okay, I will deal with that, but because I only purchased 2 skeins to make sure I was getting the thickness I needed for a bulky yarn, and being a different brand and still a Lions Brand yarn, was why I only bought 2 skeins. When I received it, it's only 4 oz. and it has a stupid dye lot, which means the next 12 for my project may be the same or not! I am quite skeptical that the largest amount I purchased, no-one will pay attention when they ship it to be the same dye lot. Yet in the order, there wasn't a place to put a dye lot number. I placed the order under buy again, hoping they will match dye lots to what I purchased. but I don't have the 100% guarantee it will be the same dye lot either. So as far as "as advertised", I can't say it is, without being able to use the dye lot number and getting more of it. Buyer, make sure you get enough of a product with a dye lot to make your project. That too, won't be a guarantee, but maybe it will be. The two I ordered at the same time, were the same dye lot.

The listing is WRONG for the amount per skein
I bought 3 skeins of Salem Creek. Based on the listing of 81 yards per skein, that would be enough for my project. They arrive, only 64 yards per skein. So now I am scrambling, trying to find more, and I doubt it will be the same dye lot. Very annoying! So the LISTING gets 1 star. The yarn itself is very nice, soft and has a bit of shimmer to it. I like it very much. 5 stars, minus 1 for the listing error, 4 stars end result.PLEASE fix your listing!

Loved this bulky #5 weight yarn!
It was expensive, and I was able to find it cheaper at other stores, so that impacted my rating. But this yarn works up fast, and it’s easy to work with. I used it to make slippers for friends & family, and they loved them. The color of the yarn is very versatile. I was able to change the faux fur around the slippers to match the vibrant specs in the yarn. The slippers were nice & thick, cozy, comfortable, and warm. I loved it but most certainly will shop around before buying more.

Vibrant Colors
I purchased this yarn to crochet a baby blanket for my newborn granddaughter. I wanted something light, vibrant, and soft and this fit the bill. I did machine wash it on delicate cycle and also dried it on low heat. The color was still great and it held its shape better than I expected as I'm used to working with heavier weight yarn. I included a picture so you could see how this color scheme works up.

The Best!
Lion Brand Hometown yarn is some of my favorite to use. It's so soft and lovely to work with. It's a gauge 6 yarn, so everything you make works up quickly. One hour to crochet an entire hat? Yes please!

Easy to use for fast projects
I use this doubled for arm knitting. It's soft and warm. I got a three pack with no knots and no real tangles. I like this as a fast project, easy to use yarn. It never gives me any grief. It's kind of a workhorse yarn and I love it for that.

Good value, great colours what's not to like!
I have purchased several colour ways of this yarn, wood nymph, mermaid, pegasus, chimera, serpent, wizard, sphynx, and have been happy with them all.The yarn feels soft for a pure acrylic and is a pleasure to work both crochet and knit. It's also flexible I've used needle/hook sizes from 4mm to 6mm to achieve different looks.Sometimes I do find a knot join in a ball, this I nothing unusual in my experience (I've found knot joins even in 25g and 50g balls) and is easily dealt with anyway I just remove the knot and attach the yarn as I would for a colour or ball change. All in all good value, lovely to work with, great colours I plan to be using a lot of this yarn :)

Tolle Wolle

Delightful to work with but Beware!
Lovely soft wool, great colourways. I am using a 3.5mm hook not the 5mm as suggested by the ball band. 5 felt way to big and the work too loose.I bought the original 2 balls in January and loved the wool but in September I bought one futher ball using 'buy again'. This wool is hard and does not have the same soft drape. It does not feel the same at all. I would not have bought this again. I'm very disappointed. Was this a substitute supplier? Was this really Lion Brand yarn?
