Genuine Replacement Demineralization Filter Cartridge for Teardrop Humidifier Reduces White Dust 1 Count (Pack of 1) Universal Humidifier Filter

This is our fourth Crane humidifier. The first 2 were the Drop shape, and while we loved them, the maintenance was high because of our hard water. They each lasted 15-18 months, save for a 4-month summer reprieve. I started using a Protec ball but didnt feel like they did anything, so stopped buying them. We think the mineral build-up is what caused their demise, and I take full blame for not cleaning them as often as instructed. Dust happens, especially in our home with forced-air heat, so I didn't purchase the cartridge for white dust reduction as much as humidifier maintenance support. I have had the Dragon and filter for about 5 weeks now, and the demineralization cartridge causes a noticeable difference in the unit. The water tank and reservoir have significantly less cleaning required - as in I've only cleaned it once, and not because the water had brown build-up but because I realized it was due for a vinegar rinse. I do think we've had a dust reduction but I couldn't attribute it completely to the humidifier cartridge because we also started using a more "advanced" furnace filter. I also can't tell if the filter causes less water to be misted into the air as the tank seems smaller than our former drop-shape tank even though one fill lasts the dragon through at least two full nights (medium powere 8pm-7am, low output or off rest of day). I say 5-stars because I'm lazy and I like not having to clean the humidifiers that are a necissity in our house at least 6-months a year. I will continue to buy these Crane-specific demineralization cartridges.

It fit well in my humidifier

Not only does it do what it’s supposed to do with ease not using one is terrible so if you’ve never used one I strongly recommend you get one of these and try it out. All my family and friends use this and they all say the same thing it does the job really well. Also I use it a lot not just during the winter time but sometimes even other seasons because we live in New Mexico where it’s very very dry and it lasts about a year and a half. I am extremely pleased and I’ve gone out of my way to try to find it the old fashion way shopping on foot so I was delighted to find it here. Get one try it out see what you think you’ll be thanking me.

These work well to make our well water, not create a residue leaving mist. I’m mostly frustrated that it’s not advertised these exist in the first place. When you buy a crane, you’re under the notion that the only option is distilled water, but in fact, you can use one of these and use your own tapwater just fine! I’d say you can make them last a bit longer than one month as well, without issue.

Great cost for original replacement

Fits perfectly in our elephant humidifier in my son’s room. Our original one started leaking and this has been the perfect replacement.

Does a great job with purification. Easy to install. High quality replacement parts.

Didn't work. Impossible to thread correctly. Bought 2 and neither worked. The box is identical to my current working one. Cartridge looks the same. Threading is different.

No issues with fit. We have a crane drop and no issues with fit despite negative reviews on Amazon. Much better way to go vs buying distilled water or getting a softener. No white flaky residue as compared with no filter. Only about 4 fills in so we will see on longevity.

4 stars because I can only attest to how it fits. I use this with the crane monkey adorables humidifier and it fits well. We are on well water in my house so I ahve broken about 4 humidifiers since moving here lol. I’m lazy ( let’s be honest) I have a baby and do I have time to clean a humidifier and let it dry daily .... no I’m not gunna do that so I got the filter and the humidifier at the same time. Hopefully it keeps it from destruction due to my water. Soaked it for 39 minutes first in the sink to active at the filter . The little beads went jelly like. Screws in where you fill the basin. So far I’m impressed. Between the two products( filter and humidifier ) I’ve shelled out 100 bucks so I’m hoping this lasts a couple years 🤞🏻 Update: This filter also fits the droplet humidifier from crane, having said that I’m hella annoyed that I have to unscrew this stupid filter every damn time I fill the humidifier. It’s a royals pain and I acually cup my hand fiddling with the stupid thing. I might send it back.

Be careful when purchaisng this filter as it does NOT work with Crane animal humidifiers and only with Crane drop (?) humidifier. This was not clear on the Amazon website. Please do not make the same mistake as I did!
