This is a great purchase for such an affordable price. The keyboard is very easy to use once you get used to the different alt option, cmd, function and control button. You need to get used to which one does what, but once you do it is so easy to use. The keyboard is a regular QWERTY and it has all the functions you need for it to work. It is super easy to connect and charge, with a long battery life. I love how they have different colors that appear. It is magnetic so it fits right onto the case. The case is very easy to use and is magnetic. Overall, the iPad case and keyboard is very affordable and useful in anyone’s day to day life. 5/5! Perfection! I had purchased another case before buying this one and that other case made my nice expensive iPad look like a cheap chromebook. This case, however, is sleek and functional. The keys on the keyboard are low rise and quiet when typing. The magnetic flap holds everything together nicely. Just got back from a trip and overall was extremely happy with this case. Though the case does now have some marks, and I'm not very tough on it, so it's not super durable after some light to moderate use. On the plane I was told to store my "laptop" for takeoff, so I pulled off the keyboard and tossed it in the seat back and BOOM, no longer a "laptop" miss stewardess. Buy it!!

I waited awhile to write a review, I apologize for that, but I wanted to see how well this would work for me as my employer just went to a software format and gave all us hospice nurses an ipad, lol. We are way behind the times out here in rural TX, but I’m finding this case and iPad keyboard to be an essential part of my job. I have not had any issues with battery life. I can go an entire 5 day work week with seeing upwards of 7 patients in a day, using the software and writing narratives before it needs recharging. Which, to me, is imperative to my job. I’m having to recharge my ipad more than the keyboard, lol. Grateful to have this as it seems to hold the ipad well. Have not had any issues with fit or quality. And I have dropped it on a carpeted floor but thankfully, the casing seems to have saved the day. I like that the casing stays in one place when maneuvering the ipad screen for optimal viewing and the keyboard does too, with the magnetic feature. I’m glad I purchased this product as I am responsible and accountable for an $850 product that my employer graciously provided and this case keeps it well protected.

This ipad case w/keyboard sold by TYPECASE could have been a 5/5 except for 2 issues. #1- The description of the case on Amazon’s website in the specification grid right at the top says this case has AUTO SLEEP/WAKE WHICH MOST FOLKS PRESUME MEANS IT PUTS THE IPAD INTO AUTO-SLEEP/WAKE due to magnetic edges or something .... which is not true. ... at least with my new Gen 8 (2020) 10.2” ipad. The ipad AUTO-SLEEP only works if the user actually REMOVES THE MAGNETIC KEYBOARD from the case prior to closing the case. This means the user has basically one of 2 choices : either leave the keyboard in the unit as it is designed to do RESULTING IN HUGE IPAD BATTERY DRAIN because it will not autosleep then .... or constantly remove the keyboard which is massively inconvenient to do dozens of times a day when one takes a short break from working but wants the ipad to auto-sleep to conserve battery life. As a former teacher of Engineering, I now wonder if the poorly worded specification chart ACTUALLY MEANT that the backlighting of the keyboard will AUTO-SLEEP (which is accurate). The other issue that prevents 5/5 is that after snapping the ipad into the inner protective (polyurethane?) wrap-around for the ipad, the exterior cover of the case (which has a nice look and feel) .... for fashion purposes only ..... overhangs beyond 3 of 4 of the ipad edges by about 1/8”-1/4”. Why would that be an issue? Those overhangs actually interfere with ACCESSING THE PHYSICAL VOLUME UP/DOWN BUTTONS ... which results in user “picking at/inside” that edge overhang to work those buttons. I am a careful person (taught Engineering for 32 years) and this overhang design is already making the outer surface by the volume controls look damaged and I’ve only owned the case for less than 2 weeks! “Pros” include: 3 brightness levels of the backlit keyboard, 7 nice backlight colors (My preference is bright green), the keys have a great “feel” when typing and appear nice and sturdy, the backlighting goes to “sleep” when no typing occurs within about 1 minute which GREATLY EXTENDS BATTERY POWER for the bluetooth keyboard, and a price of just under $40 pretty much beats everyone else! While a 4/5 score is not perfect, I would still recommend it if you are ok with the issues pointed out.

When I was shopping for cases, I bought quite a few to see which one would meet my needs. This one was the winner. The backlit keyboard is great - it connects easily, I still have not charged the battery and it fits nicely inside the case. The case itself has a decent texture and quality to it. I do think it will eventually break down from all opening, but I think that day is far in the future. Other cases didn't have as nice of a texture or overall fit and finish. I like the the keyboard is removable. I only take it with when I think I'll need it which lightens the overall package. A few things I with were better: -the keys do contact the ipad screen but I have not had any issues because of that. -the case is slightly loose without the keypad in it. Another brand was nice and tight with or without the keypad. This is a super minor annoyance. -the case folded behind the iPad does not allow it to lay perfectly flat without bounce. Again, minor. Again, I tried numerous brands and this one rose to the top. It's a great value.

Very cool keyboard! You can control if you want it automatic or select a specific color to use the whole time. Connectivity is great and will turn on and off automatically depending on your use. Sound of keyboard is good too, not too loud or quiet! Also at the upper keyboard above the numbers there are different button shortcuts like going to home button, control brightness of screen, screenshot, controlling the volume and so on. Stand itself is pretty solid. Not sure if it’s just me, but I can’t seem to find a lower “writing” angle like with your Apple Pencil, otherwise the stand falls off. But again you can always remove the keyboard if you don’t need it. Would def recommend especially for this price!

It's not bad at all, it's just not great either. It fits, it works, but half the time I can't use my keyboard when I want, the backlights of the keyboard randomly turn off after a few seconds, etc. But it does fit and holds my pen and is a decent case. Just kinda flimsy with a lot of movement so you gotta hold real tight and it doesn't have a stand. Definitely pros and cons all over. 3 is a very fitting rating out of 5 for this product.

Bought it at Costco primarily to follow news apps, watch TV, and send texts and emails - nothing heavy duty. Bought the 9th generation Ipad with 64kb for $287 and matched it with a case with a keyboard ($33). It is a big upgrade over my Ipad 6 with good display quality, ease of use, response time. It meets all expectations. One word of advice: Do not register the Ipad under a new Apple ID account as I did. Use your existing Apple ID account- it is impossible to later merge the two IDs into a single account - a PITA.

I bought it as a gift and it’s really nice the lights on the keyboard isa really nice touch the case fits great and very Durable

Bought this to pair with my iPad 9. The keyboard works great and I love that its magnetized. It is not super durable though. I put it in my backpack without enclosing it in the ipad case and some of the keys broke off and I wasn't able to get them back on. I would still 100% recommend the keyboard because it works great but would warn others to make sure to store it inside the ipad case to prevent damage!!
