***Updated review***I got and installed these November 13th (Today is the 21st, so I’ve only had them a week) and all of the sudden now they won’t respond to Alexa, one will randomly change colors a while after I turned them on, and I honestly don’t even use them that much. I wouldn’t be writing this one star review had the company responded to me looking for help. Based off of other’s reviews, I probably got a bad set, but I’m fed up and will be removing them and finding something that isn’t cheaply made and shipped from China.I wouldn’t have a single bad thing to say about these, except one of them has issues. It won’t change to the correct color when I change them as a linked pair. It gets stuck on the last color. It’s annoying. Other than that, they’re super bright and the color options are great.

I liked these a lot at first. They were easy to use, worked well with Google Home and pretty. Brightness was fine for accent lamp.However, within a few months they started working sporadically or not at all. I had three plugged into an accent lamp and suddenly one or two would stop working for a while. Eventually only one would still light up.The thing that worried me most was that, when I went near the lamp, I could hear a significant electrical buzzing noise. I touched one of the bulbs that was not coming on to try to unscrew/rescrew it to see if that would fix it and it was HOT, like so hot I could barely touch it. Mind you, these are LED so the bulbs shouldn't be producing that kind of heat even when lit and this one wasn't even lit up.Long story short, I ended up just taking them all out as a precaution because I was worried about it being a fire hazard since there was clearly something wrong electrically.Something to keep in mind is that the actual lamp was technically on all the time since these are smart bulbs that need power constantly in order to use the smart on and off features, so it's possible that there's an electrical problem with the lamp but I don't think so. I tried switching around the bulbs and the one that was still working also worked in the other sockets while the ones that weren't working did not come on when inserted into the socket the or working bulb had been in.I'm going to try another set of regular bulbs and if I end up having the same problems where it seems likely that the problem is the lamp instead of the bulbs I'll update my review.

Packaging was good, and that’s about it. Between app instability and lights doing what they wanted, it took over 2 hours before I gave up. And when I unscrewed the bulbs, the bases were so hot, I could barely touch them. 5watts must have been going straight to ground for this heat! Wish I had a laser thermometer to prove. As an aircraft and weapons electronics tech of over 20 years, no doubt these LED’s were exceeding 70C.App instability wouldn’t sync with the lights at random. Lights would turn Off as commanded, then back on within 10seconds, while the app would indicate “Off.” Color changes would vary as each bulb seemed fit wether Grouped or Individually. During initial Sync to WiFi, all three lights had their own flash sequence, and only one matched the (Chinese translated) instructions.Reboxed these things faster than the unboxing. Have submitted for a refund.

I ordered these a few weeks back and installed 2/3 with no problem but the third one wouldn't connect even after following reset instructions. All three are in the same location so I know it is not an issue with distance or connectivity with router/modem as they're in the same room with it. Much of my townhome already has smart devices, bulbs, etc so I am very familiar with the tech and how it works. A few days after setting them up, one of the two that were working started turning off for around 2 seconds every 3-4 minutes. This was not a big deal at first but it started to get on my nerves when the frequency worsened to where it was turning on and off for 1-2 seconds at a time every minute or so.At this point I decided to exchange for the same ones and give them the benefit of the doubt. New ones came in very quickly and I installed all three with no problem but a week later and they're having the same problem with randomly turning off for a few seconds at a time. For what it's worth, they worked great when they did work...bright and good color but I just need them to work consistently and not turn off briefly every few minutes. As I've tried multiple sets from this vendor/manufacturer and I've had the same problems with both, unfortunately I'm going to have to return both sets and go with a different product.

They were so easy to install and set up! The app is simple too, and walks you right through set effortlessly. These bulbs once set up respond flawlessly to my Alexa Echo. What used to be a nightly routine of fiddling in the dark for the light switch without dropping the groceries is now an effortless stroll into my kitchen from the front door. With just one command..."Alexa... kitchen light on.....Lamp on!" We also put one in our living room lamp which is what the video shows and one in our bedroom lamp. On top of everything else the light can be changed to pretty much any color manually on the app as well as with voice command...including soft or warm white. Very impressed with the quality and price. You won't regret this purchase.
