It’s a 3D-printed face gasket. Printing quality seems to be low given that VR facial interfaces need to be reasonably solid, and this one arrived broken in four pieces. I asked for a return and have head nothing back after a week. Avoid.

Let's clear this up right out the gate - the gasket is not padded. It is a 3d printed plastic piece with some foam on the Index side to block out light. I put one of Vrcovers index covers on mine and it made it surprisingly comfortable.The wideness is definitely noticely more comfort than the standard, though you will certain want to pad it out for long term use. I imagine the plastic will get sore on your skin otherwise.Build quality is so so, some light leaked which was fixed with some glue and foam, and it came with a big patch of velcro that I cannot work out what is for

Poorly fitted oversized, very uncomfortable with very substandard adhesive, and way over priced.
