Nikon rimfire II 3x9-x40 bdc 150
The scope feels high quality, nothing flimsy about it. If anyone has been unfortunate to receive a defective scope, it was probably just a defective one out of the bunch. It feels sturdy and well made. Looks sleek and very nice. Looking through it, the clarity is amazing as you can see on the pic. (Pic, scope is magnified 7x). I hesitated to purchasing it due to a few bad ratings. I had actually purchased it then cancelled the purchase same day but Amazon delivered it anyways (it happens). I got a refund and receive the item after a few days. I was gonna send it back but decided to open it and just give it a look before I sent it back. I was very pleased with what I saw at first glance. when I looked through it I was so amazed with the overall clarity and sharpness of it that I called Amazon and told them I'd keep it after all and paid for it once again. the scope fits perfectly on my Marlin 795 which has a polymer sling loop. I mounted it on the medium - leapers accushot 1 piece mount 1" rings. which is also a great product. This scope is a Prostaff rimfire II. the description doesn't say the "II" on it. It comes with covers. It is made in the phillipines. the crosshairs look sharp. When you zoom to the max allowed image is still clear and sharp. The windage and elevation turrets have a click that you can hear and feel when adjusting. It has about 3.5" eye relief. With receipt of purchase you get lifetime warranty with any defects that may occur over time! You can't go wrong with that. I originally wanted to buy the leupold rimfire vx-1 which sells for 230$ because people say Leupold is the best, but at that price it can hurt anyone's pocket. If this scope performs well it will give Leupold a run for its money at a fraction of the cost. Just an FYI leupolds glass is purchased primarily from China. That is stated in their website. I think the high price for their scopes comes more from the brand name over actual quality. Not saying they aren't good scopes. hope this helps anyone considering this scope....UPDATE 2-17-16..... I TESTED IT OUT... I am very pleased to say it performed amazing. Pics show the results. I used cheap ammo(federal bulk box ammo) and my trigger pull is not so smooth. I'm a noob to rifles but I still did well. i did use a bipod which helped me with staying still when aiming. I shot targets as far as 110 yards away with no misses. I am very very happy. Best 120 I spent on a scope.

Very good scope
I’ve always like Nikon scopes and optics. This scope is calibrated for .22 rimfire. It mounted up easily, glass is clear, quality of the body is superior. The wind age and elevation knobs are crisp and firm with audible and palpable clicks. For my rifle, a Ruger Precision Rimfire, the scope out of the box was way off. It took about 40 rounds to zero, primarily because I couldn’t find out where I was shooting. No problem, the scope is well wort the effort. It arrived on time, packaging was as nice as any in the industry and all is well. I’m enjoying this scope immensely and have already recommended it to a couple of my shooting buddies.

Nikon is THE optics company.
Great clear lenses with no flare. For the price of a cheap no-name scope you get the real Nikon deal with an amazing warranty. After setting up on my rifle, it was only a couple inches off so I could zero it immediately. The resettable turrets are useful when playing with different ammo or for long distances. Great visibility up to 100 yards in the shade (more in the sun). The reticle is visible even at night - I don't understand why people need illuminated reticle. If there is even a little bit of light (even reflected from the back) the reticle is visible. If it's too dark to see the reticle, it's definitely too dark too shoot!I used the spoton Nikon website and I found it matches quite well with my ammo. The only thing to keep in mind is that the ocular adjustment ring is really tight. Just hold the ocular and the ring and turn them in opposite directions to loosen it. No need for a clamp.

Best .22 Rifle Scope that I have ever owned!
This is a really fine scope for an exceptional price. It has great lens quality and brightness and just looks good on my rifle. I really like the BDC Reticle and the data from the online Nikon Spot-On Ballistics Calculator to truly utilize all the versatility of this scope. The easy zero set on the turret knobs is great, although the precision and repeatability of adjustments with the turrets is not as good as a more expensive scope. That enhances the usefulness of the BDC reticle and Spot-On to determine what magnification and aperture to use at any particular range for specific brands of ammunition and muzzle velocities that you may be getting from your rifle. I have a Table printed out and taped to the stock of my rifle that I have found to be "Spot-On". I have deducted one star for the cheap plastic turret caps that are hard to get threaded on, as others have mentioned. Nikon ought to offer some nice aluminum caps as an accessory. All told, I have found this an excellent scope for my .22 target rifle and would highly recommend to a friend.

Works great on my 22lr
I have had this scope for about 4 years now on a Ruger 10/22 lr. I have had no problems with it at all. Holds zero, glass is pretty good for the price and it will take some banging around too. I have been very happy with this scope and definitely recommend it to other people.

Great scope for my .22
This can't be beat for the price. Well made with good glass - very clear for the price point. Excellent tracking when I sighted it in. I mounted mine on a semi auto rifle and have had no issues holding zero. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

Get This Scope
Awesome scope! I received one as a gift for my .17hmr. Loved it so much I bought one for my precision.22. I use both scopes to plink, target practice and for abating ground squirrels on ranch property This thing is spot on.Also, Nikon has a page on their website which will give you all of your BDC drops for each caliber. Separated by manufacturer, grain wt & feet per second. It’s awesome! You will need a set of rings to mount it to your rifle. But with the money you save on the glass it’s not a problem. I was used to seeing this scope go for a good deal more money in other places. Needless to say, I was a little skeptical of the price but I am thrilled that I went for it and got it. I may even grab another Prostaff in 4-12 x 40.The scope came as advertised. Fast delivery too! Thanks for being legit!
