Better than I thought!
Many years cago I ordered many of the Zebra F-301 retractible ball point pens and F-301 mechanical pencils for my office and many brief cases. Over the years however I did not use as many of the pens as I thought I might and the ink in the cartridges dried out. Therefore they have sat for many years unusable. Recently I thought that I might try and find new refils online and found these.I received them yesterday and began taking out the old dried out cartridges and replacing them with the new ones.Initialy when I tried to scribble with a few of them they wouldn't write, to which my initial reaction was, not again.Much to my surprise, however, I discovered that the reason was a small substance covering the tips of the refills, which I assume is to seal the tips and therefore preventing the ink from drying out. After scribling and removing that substance they worked like a charm. A very clever and a simple solution to the ink drying out problem. Kudos to the Zebra folks!I also decided not to throw out the old original dried out cartridges but to try and see if I could melt the ink in them making them useable again without destroying them in the process. Well I tried boiling water in a mug just deep enough to cover the metal part of the refil cartridge. I left the refil in for about ten minutes and presto, it worked. That old dried out cartridge works again. So now I have both the old cartridges, for however long they last, as well as the new refils with the protective tips. What a deal!

The Zebra pen is too small for large hands.
Overall this product suits me well.

Not sure how long these last but I love the zebra pens. It is nice to be able to get refills and not have to buy a new pen each time.

Good refills for a great writing instrument
Love my Zebra F-710 pen and these refills designed specifically for the pen work vey well. The ink flows smoothly without glops and drips. Neat, streamline and easy to change the refills. My only issue is that they are small and therefore with about half the size of a regular pen refill so they need to be replaced more often. I feel it is worth it to use this stylish nicely weighted and smooth writing pen however!

Nice
I prefer the medium point over the fine point that come with the pen 🤷🏼♂️

1.0 mm. Medium Point Zebra Ballpoint Pen F-Refill
A "Medium" width Ballpoint writes on more surfaces, is less likely to skip while writing, and preforms better than "Fine" (.07mm. and less) Ballpoints. I have used Zebra Brand Ballpoints for over twenty years and prefer the medium point for writing on notebook paper, scratch pads, and log book pages. Medium point replacements should be more available.

Larger size [1.0 vs. 0.7mm] overcomes clogging failure, at the cost of a heavier written line.
I had really preferred the Zebra 0.7mm fine point version for the type of small writing that I do, but the refill always failed when it was half depleted! It seemed to get clogged up -- perhaps from something in newsprint [crossword puzzles and underlining news articles] or the soy based inks used today or the "clay" finish used on glossy magazines. The 1.0mm, however, seems to work fine. I'm guessing it's a mechanical issue with the smaller ball being more sensitive to minute particulate contamination. Hardly earth shattering, it's just a pen refill.
