Great BUT READ THIS.
This is great stuff, and works for me every time I get electrolysis, but you should know that the SAME company packages the EXACT SAME cream under a different name, called RectiCare. And get this: it costs about $7 to $10 less than LMX. I switched. I can't tell the difference. RectiCare is almost always stocked at Walgreens, too, if you need this in a hurry.Having said all that, using these numbing creams is the ONLY WAY to endure the pain of true good electrolysis. If it isn't hurting, the practitioner is not doing it right. The kind of electrolysis that works, hurts. Period. When I started using this cream, I was able to do areas I couldn't before, like the upper lip, and for all the other areas, I'd say it lowered the pain by 70% to 100%. Some areas don't hurt at all anymore, and the tender areas hurt way less.I have long blonde hairs (and a few black ones) so electrolysis is the only way to handle it. Also, for those who use laser, I'd say if you're doing hair around the lady parts, laser might work. But unless it's a dark wiry hair, and your skin is really white, laser doesn't work. Any hint of a tan, and it doesn't work. I had my lady areas done, and ten years later, it came back and is thicker than ever. For my chin laser wasn't even an option. Electrolysis was the only permanent method. We all need to get real: good old fashioned electrolysis works, (with a new state of the art machine, but the method is old fashioned). It is permanent, and you can focus on the problem hairs, and leave the rest. In general, I have to say, any shaving/hair removal cream or complete hair removal at all on the face looks really weird. You need the small down-like hairs to look normal, and electrolysis leaves those. I highly recommend it. Galvanic didn't work for me, and I wasted 10 years on it. But Blend did, and it worked in less than a year. And if it isn't hurting (i.e. the electrical charge isn't zinging you buy bad) it won't work, or will take years more to work. Since I started doing the Blend method that hurts, with this cream that removes the hurt, it took about nine months to get rid of 90% of all the hair. I only go back now and then for a few new ones. Also, a note about electrolysis that to me, even if it weren't permanent (it IS permanent if done right) I would still do it. It's a better result, it lasts two to three weeks, and that beats waxing any day. Remember, for waxing to work, you have to let the hairs grow out. And that just sucks. Yuck!Lots of info here, but if I'd read this 15 years ago, I'd have a lot more money in my pocket, that's for sure.

Brazilian Laser? If yes, this is the stuff for you!
Hello, I am a 44 year old female who recently purchased a Groupon in my local area for Laser Hair Removal. The intent is to have my bikini area hair removed- a Brazilian. I went for my very first appointment 4 weeks ago and had no idea what to expect. The laser they are using uses heat to singe the hair follicle. I almost died in pain.... wow-- it was ridiculously painful as you can imagine and the laser was on the lowest setting. I have waxed and epillated that area and nothing compared to the laser pain.As I was leaving the esthetician said that I could look to buy some numbing cream. Since I absolutely love Amazon... of course I came here first. I read the reviews on many products - some low cost, some high cost. I decided to go in between and buy this product. I had my second laser treatment this morning... I applied this cream to the whole area 1 hour before and then I used some saran wrap to cover the area. I felt a small tingle. I did not rub it in entirely. 15 minutes prior to the appt (sitting in my car) I applied another dime size amount to the area. The esthetician was putting the laser on level 4 / 5 this time... I was fully prepared to die in pain again and ready to flinch, my hands were sweaty in anticipation of the pain. I doubted the cream was going to do anything since I did not feel any different down there... boy was I wrong! All I can say is AMAZING! I still felt the heat from the laser and a little bit of a pinching type feeling in the places I used the cream. I could not believe it. This stuff worked and I don't say that lightly.I did miss some areas applying the cream and when she did that part with the laser I flinched and felt the pain again from the first session. That was my only mistake... be sure to cover all areas you need numbed with this cream. Even have your husband or significant other apply it for you so you do not miss any areas. Also, the esthetician said I didn't need to apply this 1 hour before hand... 1/2 hour is good she said. For those of you who have any questions or doubts... please send me a question or email. I would have loved to have this type of thorough review when I was looking to buy... Also, the packaging says this can be used for some kind of analrectal treatments... that confused me but rest assured this stuff is perfect for a brazilian or other area laser hair removal...It has 5% lidocaine and this stuff works. Thanks - Mary from CT

Brazilian waxing - this is what you need!!
I am a female - bought this on my husband's account so don't get confused by a male name. Let me tell you i am a regular at brazilian waxing without any numbing agents and yes it hurts, but i can take it. I changed my residence (not just city but the country itself) and could not sum up courage to go to a stranger parlour/salon for a brazilian especially after having bad experiences in multiple salons for other small services. For god sake Brazilian is a big deal right!!! and i dont want to get wounded 'there'! Waxing my self down south was completely out of the question but going the razor way for 3 months (oh GAWD razor is such a PAIN) i decided i have to do something about it. So i thought there has to be some way out and then i came across this numbing cream on amazon, i read up on the reviews a couple of them were really helpful and i decided to buy this cream and TRY.I would say that it WORKS GREAT. Used as suggested by another user - applied a thick layer and covered with saran wrap. Takes about an hour to work. Though after 45 minutes i put a thick layer again and put saran wrap. It Numbed my skin just fine and i waxed myself a "painless brazilian"But i wud say it works great on a smaller area then a larger patch like a male chest waxing (yeah! i experimented on my hubby - lol. It worked but not as much as it did on my skin say 6 on 10 for him and 10 on 10 for me)
