Disappointed
I have been a big fan of Asics and I ran Marathon and Half Marathon races in previous models of Nimbus and they were fantastic (I gave a 5 star review on Nimbus 18). So I was very excited to order a new pair of Nimbus 20 to train and run for my upcoming Marathon this coming fall. When I put it on first time I felt the sole is stiffer than my older ones but I was thinking it will be fine. Then I realized it IS a problem after my first run of several miles: my left achilles tendon hurt and left calf was very sore. Well it might be because it needs some break-in even though I never experienced the same with my older nimbuses. I ran 3 more times, in between each run I had a break of a couple of days and I also ran in my old Nimbus 18 again to compare, every time my left heel hurts more after using this new model, but ok with 18. Eventually I had to return it, because I cannot imagine to run in this pair for 26 miles in a race.

NO More ASICS for me
Asics gel was my go to shoe for many years. Accountants must have taken over and are scrimping on quality or size.I'm 220lbs 6ft 1" in my 60'sGel Cumulus 16 good fit 12Gel Nimbus 17 good fit 12 1/2Gel Cumulus 18 bad fit sz 12 (bought 2 pair at same time, same problem with both) also outsole wore out quickly.Mizuno Wave Rider 20 good fit sz 12 No problems...good shoe.Wanted to give AlSICS another chance:Gel Nimbus 20 bat fit 12 1/2As my attached photo shows, I could get a better shoe fit by cutting away the upper part of insole to make more room. The toe box is not high enough. ASICS burned me too many times. The Mizuno Wave Rider likely my next shoe.

Why Didn't Asics Leave Well Enough Alone?
I have worn Asics Gel Nimbus for a decade, and I so miss the older models. This shoe looks great and seems well made, but it is too narrow. I haven't been able to wear Asics since the Gel Nimbus 17..... Wish they would bring back duplicates of their earlier models.

Overall this "new" improved fit is comfortable and support is as good as older versions
Due to all of the confusion on fit related to the Nimbus I checked with ASICS through chat and email. They gave me two different answers ( expert fitting support) so I ordered my regular fit size and a size larger that Asics suggested. Result; my regular fit was the correct one. Overall this "new" improved fit is comfortable and support is as good as older versions. The price is getting a little ridiculous. Having worn the Nimbus for over 5 years now I don't see any improvement in the design that warrants such a price. They could have continued to produce the 15 version of this shoe and people would be gobbling them up. Time to explore another more reasonably priced shoe. Sorry ASICS you just lost another customer.

Too small
I use to wear size 11. The GEL-Nimbus 19 won't even come close to fitting in 11, so I returned them. Now, after reading in the reviews that the sizing issues had been resolved, I decided to try the GEL-Nimbus 20. The good news is now my feet fit inside shoe. The bad news is the room for toes is so narrow that in order for this to work would need to order in 11.5. Too much of a hassle. For now I'm sticking with my beloved Adidas Ultraboosts.

Nimbus 20 Made in Indonesia
Asics 17 - 20 definitely are one size smaller, So buy over size to fit your foot. I purchased two pair, each from a different vendor. One pair was made in Indonesia and the other made in Vietnam. The ones made in Indonesia do not have the heal cushion comfort of the ones made in Vietnam. The three stars are for the ones made in Indonesia. Four stars for the ones made in Vietnam. Five stars for the 15 and 16 Nimbus. I went to a local store and tried on the new Nimbus 21. They have been completely redone. Felt like I was walking on concrete with no shoes. The Nimbus 20 will be my last Asics I will buy and I have been wearing Asics for ten years because of problems I have with my feet.

Great
Like walking/running on clouds... maybe that’s where they get the “Nimbus” name. Anyway, this is the 3rd time I’ve bought a version this shoe. Have not been disappointed yet. This version does have stretchy laces, which I find a bit odd, but it doesn’t affect the performance of the shoe. I wear a 14 in this shoe vs a 13 in 95% most shoes I own, so they might run a bit to the smaller side.

True to Fit, Very comfortable
I'm not an avid runner, nor an expert on running shoes. I just did research into top 10 running shoes (for running on pavement) because I'm hoping to get back into running after having had some knee problems several years ago. I need something that is going to be gentler on my feet as well as provide knee protection for pavement-running impact. I read about this shoe and also had a friend that told me his doctor uses Asics when he runs and swears by them, so I tried a pair. Not sure that paying $160 for a pair of running shoes is worth it, but I have to say that upon trying them on I felt light and "lofty", almost as if though I were kind of walking on a "cloud", if you will. Haven't used them for running yet, but took them for a quick sprint and they were lovely. No complaints. Very happy with these so far.

Not enough support hard surfaces-Very disappointed
Very little support with these shoes when running on road . I was very disappointed as paying £117 for these shoes and have been purchasing this make for years with no previous problems .Feels like I'm running in cheap gym footwear not proper running shoes . I wasn’t expecting problems at all . I guess running on grass might be okay? ,but living in the city I run mainly on pavements .Can't send back because I have used them .One things for sure I shall look elsewhere in the future for my running shoes .

Not as perfect as previous versions.
Been buying previous models but have got to say that this upgrade not the same quality as previous versions. Fit is ok but the previous models were a little more generous. Feel that quality has dropped marginally.
