Fan on this unit is comparatively QUIET - check reviews!
Important:- If you are buying a coal/log effect fire and you will be using the heating option (some people will be using it for decorative purposes only), then check the reviews of the product you are considering because some of them have reviews which say the fan is very noisy.I use this for boosting the central heating in the living room on occasions and I am delighted with the look of the product AND the fact that the fan is not too noisy on the occasions I use it.

A great buy and not costing the earth!
I was looking for a nice electric fire to put in existing surround and I am really pleased with the look I now have. It looks like an actual log burning stove (without the smoke/dust and ashes)and makes the room feel really cozy. It has changed the look of the fire surround completely. The added bonus it has the glass sides so you can see the effect of the flames all round. I was doubtful initially as the 'log effect' is quite shallow and I wondered if it was going to look like the old fashioned electric fires which some as so obviously artificial but it really does look like logs which have burnt down and red hot.(it has a flame adjustment but I do not see much difference) I was looking at stoves which have a water reservoir in them to create smoke effect but I am glad I chose this one as it is a simple switch on/off without have to worry about topping up a water reservoir. So much less expensive than others I have been looking at (less than half in most cases) with a look I am really happy with.

Appalling customer service!
Arrived within a week, looked fab in place and worked well for 3 days. After that it stopped working. Returning witness extremely difficult and the customer service was appalling. Seems like Fineway don't actually read your messages and only send generic responses which are NOT helpful at all!!! Managed to return after 2 weeks and finally fot a refund.

Well packed, prompt delivery, good value.
Very pleased with prompt well packed delivery. I really wanted a Dimplex Optimist but couldn't afford nearly £600.00 for an electric fake stove so bought this. Good value and looks nice, I put it on a hearth and I'm happy enough with the look.

Quality not brilliant.
A little disappointed with the quality, a plastic bracket that holds one of the front pieces of glass in was broken, the doors do not close evenly with a small gap at the top and a larger gap at the bottom.It does function well and has a better than average flame effect.
