I’ve bought another similar item to make balls of ice, and I prefer this mold a thousand times over. With the bottom part being solid, it’s much easier to place and move and it’s super easy to fill and came with its own funnel. It was cute, and you don’t really need it to fill this if you accidentally lose it literally the day after you open and use the dang thing. Overall I’m super happy with this and it makes pretty good sized ice balls for all our cocktail needs.

If you enjoy old fashions or drinks like these you need one of these. Makes the perfect ice cubes for these types of drinks. Easy to use, however, it comes with this little funnel that I don't use. Fill the mold up with water and stick it in the freezer and once it's done you have these nice round balls for cocktails. If you have good water there really isn't any taste. Run the mold under a little hot/cold water and the cubes come right out of the mold and you're ready to go.

It takes a little practice to get the ice out without swearing (hint: run warm water over the rigid bottom, pull it off and peel back the silicone top from each ice ball) but the results are great. A bit of a pain to fill with the tiny funnel but the design works and its a lot easier than spending $3K on a refrigerator that will make these for you.

Perfect ice balls. My main reason for purchasing them was for my dog. My English Mastiff loves to eat them in the summer. Easy to fill the unit and remove the ice balls. When the unit gets refilled and I can get one or two before the dog gets them, I do like them in my drink.

Great idea, wrong implementation. Even being very careful, a good leak free (or even close) was impossible to obtain. I ended up with half sphere ice that was resistant to release from the hard plastic bottom half of the set-up. Put this in another container untill you are certain that yours will seal or you have a mess in your freezer. Tired of trying to deal with assistance from Amazon on unsatisfactory purchases so just chaulk it up to 'well this sucks' and try to leave reviews so others don't get fooled as I was

From friends who have enjoyed the round ice I now use in their cocktails,,,they like them,,,,unique and good size cube doesn't water down drink as fast for slow sippers.....they aren't easy to remove from mold...must run water over the mold to free cube...I don't bother with the funnel.....only four so I make a few ahead and store in freezer....

These are perfectly sized for drinks. the ice is easy to remove. the mold does not leave any type of off flavor with the ice. be careful not to overfill, as the water expands, with will cause the mold to split apart. my only complaint, like many similar products is that it is difficult to fill. plus the miniature funnel I already lost. I may buy more if i end up needing to make more than 4 spheres at a time.

All and All this is a great product as I ordered 2 of them. The only complaint I have is you need to be very meticulous when filling and making sure the rubber is completely sealed. Sounds simple but it will seem sealed and then you will notice water leaked in your fridge making a giant mess. When this happens you get 1/2 cubes that still work and may get a chuckle from your friends. Cheers!

Easy to release the ice but not as fun to fill. To achieve the desired effect of a full circle you must use the tiny funnel provided to fill the mold to the top.
