Not too bright, not too dull, just perfect brightness for a well lit room or at nightleast. Unfortunately it’s only battery operated but the batteries last quite a long time, very durable for my son who’s dropped it off the shelf more than i can count and it still functions 100% no cracks or chips. This is so fun! I love that it does a variety of colors including rainbow! You can make it blink or stay or change. So many possibilities! The remote helps with the ease of the variety. It's very light so it could easily hang on a door or just be used as a table decoration ( we bought it for my daughter's rainbow party) definitely a value for what you get.

The brightness depends on the color choosen. Its the perfect night light for my Daughters bed room. The letter is perfect amd the size was just as it said in the description. Its sits on a shelf with out tipping over and looks perfect in every color she chooses!
