So the pattern is deep enough to make a high quality imprint on a pastry, fondant or a clay. Also it can be used with a play-dough and salt dough for children games. It is absolutely safe for use with any kind of food. Each rolling pin is supplied without oil impregnation, as a precaution for food allergy reasons. The care instructions are included and the users could get the right oil of their needs. As the rolling pins are made of high quality natural beechwood they are "in love" with oil - sunflower, flax-seed (linseed), tung, hemp and such alike food safe oils.
