Tree and Squid Matte Black Fountain Pen with Medium Nib + Ink Converter

Okay I'll be honest, I didn't buy this pen for the pen. I was actually looking for piston converters, and I was going to buy the waterman converter but this was a couple bucks cheaper for a whole pen AND a converter. So I figured if the pen sucked I'd still be happy because I got a converter.The pen is actually really good quality. Especially for being less than $7 (at the time of writing this) I'm really happy with it. It's got a good weight to it and looks well made. It writes incredibly well, but I just got it so we'll see how it holds up after not being used for a while.When I scribbled really fast with it I had no problems with the ink skipping. I'm incredibly impressed because I have 2 other fountain pens and I use them for drawing usually. But I've started to use them less often because they tend to skip when I'm hatching or drawing, and it's really annoying to deal with. They've always had that problem, but they're pretty cheap ($10-20) so that's probably why. I figured a better piston converter would help get the ink flowing in them. I think I'll just use this pen instead for now though.The piston converter inside seems a little cheap but it's obviously working well so I can't complain. Another thing to note is that the cap can go on the back end of the pen while you're using it. To me it feels like the pen is way too long when I do that though. I have tiny hands.The cap also clicks in really well. No chance of it coming off in your pocket.Overall I'm super happy with this pen and pleasantly surprised.Small update: If it sits for a while unused it takes a few strokes to get going but then it writes normally.

For the money, this is a fantastic pen you will not regret buying. Writes smoothly, has a pleasant weight in the hand. A joy to use. If they had a large capacity version (or even a easier to fill cartridge) it would likely be my go-to. If you use pre-filled cartridges I'd order multiples of this pen.

This pen doesn’t hold ink. One day, I filled it up yesterday and wrote 2 words. Next day it was completely empty! I filled again and wrote about a paragraph before I had to fill it up again. Complete waste of money.

Like the way it feels in hand when writing. Had some issues getting it to write. Ink wasnt flowing well. Washed the nib and applied a little pressure to the well and it seems to be holding up. Does hold a small amount of ink so it needs to be filled every couple of days. I dont mind filling it though so not a big deal.

first pen I bought worked well..ink flowed properly so I ordered a second one and the ink does not flow correctly..should have purchased just one!!!!

I keep refilling this with ink and it leaks into the lid, making it completely unreliable and useless.

The ink evaporates in a couple days or something bc it’s not leaking out but jus gone. Writes fantastically though

This pen looks good but it leaks sometimes, waste ink

Gets the job done, for the price can't complain too much.
