Cross Point Voice Alert System-6 Wireless Annunciator Receiver (VA-6000R)

This unit was really easy to set up and works very well. I was disappointed that it DOES NOT COME WITH A MOTION SENSOR, but I purchased one separately at the same time I bought this unit. I originally planned on running two sensors, but decided to only use only one when I found out the receiver did not come with one. I still give it 5 stars because, if you read the advertised information on this unit, it does not really say it comes with a sensor. Programming the sensors is accomplished by flipping a switch (1 through 6) inside the sensor. Set up was a breeze. For the application I need it for, it works perfect. The sensor I bought came with a battery and does transmit through walls with no problem. I would definately buy this product again.

We bought two receivers so that we can receive signals downstairs and upstairs alike at the SAME TIME. I got this idea from my boss who bought two receivers so that one went to his house and the other to his next door cousin's house. The unit works really good, with no problem transmitting through our walls (that are new construction that cell phones sometimes cannot transmit through). I had some questions before buying and received a response from the manufacturer the next day...good communication.We previously had only one receiver and now upgraded to two with this purchase. So we have two receivers both receiving signals from three transmitters. Sounds confusing, but is simple due to ease in installation. The batteries in the motion detector units transmit for over 6 months. The receiver is A/C powered and can be plugged in anywhere there is an outlet. These are weather rated, but we would recommend placing the sender unit under cover. We placed two under eaves and another concealed in a bird house that we modified...just in case. Remember to place them 7 1/2' so that small animals do not trigger the unit. Also, the wind can sway plants that can cause faklse triggers. After a small ammount of relocating the motion detectors, this is not a problem. These are really worth the money and are a well built and operating product that we rcommend without reservation. The volume has an adjustment knob and can be easily set to wake the dead or be a simple whisper!We researched the price on numerous web sites (ebay, etc) and found Amazon to have the best price. Set-up is easy with very detailed instructions.

As a silent alternative to outside lights and loud alarms, this item is wonderful . We use it in the back yard and the front porch.

I have the unit, and my transmitter died after a year+ as it was outdoors, but mainly dry heat. Are there alternate transmitters that send the same frequency MHZ? I don't think I have to spend almost $70 for something that is $9-25 for most other cheaply made to pretty solid brands that sell(still sold for profit) The price for the transmitters is outrageous. A complicated new motherboard for a computer is about $70! So if anyone knows a few things in frequency, and has come across a unit by Brinks or others, I would love to try it out to work with the receiver.

I found this system at a local alarm shop for $99 with one sensor. Do yourself a big favor- order it NOW. You won't find a better built, higher quality unit than this- it is truly amazing. The range is 300 feet through walls no problem. BUY IT!!!

I HAVE HAD THREE OF THIS PRODUCT. THEY WORK BUT THE NEWEST ANNUCIATOR'S LOW BATTERY LIGHT WILL NOT STOP BLINKING. IF YOU KNOW HOW I CAN TURN THAT LIGHT OFF, PLEASE LET ME KNOW
