Look, these bulbs are great once you get them set up but until then, it can be a bit of a pain and takes a lot of patience. Getting these to connect to WiFi is quite the hassle. I had to add an Access Point for my WiFi as there was about 50% signal where I wanted to install them and they just would not connect to the WiFi. Keep in mind that I do I.T. work as a profession too so chances are that I know what I'm doing and so by adding an access point where I was installing these bulbs, they now work great. With the size radio that is in these bulbs and the somewhat low price of these, that alone might say a lot. After about 15 resets to factory defaults and finally setting these up via access point mode, I can overlook that. As said, once these are setup, they work fantastic. After experiencing the tiring setup process and knowing how to get around it, they really do work great and are very responsive. Plus, you can control these anywhere in the world; just as long as you have an internet connection that is.

After recent money troubles, and noticing that smart lights like these have came way down in price, (was $13 per bulb when I purchased) I decided to solve my money issue and brighten my rooms up more buy selling my LIFX bulbs on ebay and replacing them with these feit bulbs. Definitely not as good or cool as LIFX, let me get that right out now. But these were substantially brighter, a 500 lumen difference. The problems with the feit bulbs I have are the color modes are dim AF! Feel kind of ripped off on the color angle, but I never really used that feature much, even with the LIFX bulbs. The tunable white colors are more than adequate. The app is bad, setup is a bit more difficult and buggy than LIFX, and the wifi range per bulb seems far weaker. Biggest issue I have with the feit bulbs is no Samsung Smartthings integration. I used to have buttons on the wall to control my LIFX, now that's a no go. All and all though, I'm very happy with them, especially for that unbeatable price. If they could come up with a better app, better color, and get Smartthings to support them, I'd love it. (strange because Tuya owns Feit and Carro home, but neither work with Smartthings, but Tuya branded devices do...)Recommended for: People with dark rooms that want alot of light, have good wifi coverage in thier home, and don't mind a convoluted app. Gotta be savvy.Not recommended for: people who want the absolute best tech. People not good with tech,People buying the bulb for the color features.Note: don't have that Alexa garbage, so I couldn't tell you how well it works with Alexa, works great with Google home, nest and assistant, app works on my android phone.

I haven't tried to connect this with Alexa or Google Home so I can't speak to that.That aside, this is the brightest colour changing lightbulb I've been able to find. It's also far cheaper than bigger brand names. I first saw the set of two 800lm colour changing bulbs at Costco, so I figured it must be a pretty reliable brand and got this one for my desk, where I use the bluish white light in daytime to keep me more awake--I feel like it's working, but at the very least my workspace is brightly lit now!It's easy to install and sync with the Feit app that you do have to download and make an account for (email or phone number). You can group several light bulbs together so if you have a ceiling light with two Feit bulbs, you can change both of their settings as a single group, which is nice organization.It's also really bright and hasn't had any trouble with flickering whatsoever and transitions between the colours quickly via the app. I can also turn the lamp's switch off, and the light bulb will not forget the previous settings I had applied when turned back on. You won't be able to connect to the bulb via the app if you switch the lamp off, though. I hear light bulbs being reset every time you turn the switch off is a common problem with other brands.Finally, like the other reviewers mentioned, it is true that the bulb gets A LOT dimmer when you are using a colour outside of the standard 'white' spectrum (2700K-6500K). This is probably more a physical limitation and not specific to Feit's bulbs, since white light is a combination of all coloured light so once you change it to another colour you are necessarily blocking out light from certain parts of the colour spectrum e.g. if you set it to the colour red, you are necessarily blocking out blue and green light which would make the light bulb 1/3 as bright as white light. At least, I THINK that's how it works. I did also try the Phillips bulbs and they have the same reduction in brightness when used in colour mode.If you're mostly using it along the white light spectrum, this is a GREAT bulb for that. You can use it in the colour mode too, but know that it will be mostly for mood lighting and not very helpful as far as a source of lighting goes.

Absolutely love the quality of the light. Very impressive. Just wish it worked reliably.I have 5 WiFi outlets (4 LeFun and 1 WeMo) and once paired, they remember my network. I can leave them unplugged and stored in a drawer for months, then plug them in, wait 20 seconds, and they automatically reconnect to my network and function normally; no hassles.This Feit bulb will not remember my network. It must be reconnected - a bit of a pain - numerous times daily. My phone indicates I have a strong WiFi signal at that location. My LeFun units operate normally within feet of this Feit bulb in the same room so I’m guessing it’s not a network limitation in that room, just a poor WiFi implementation in the Feit bulb.I’m a retired electronics engineer (decades designing laser printers and GPS relay transceivers) so I know more than a little bit about electronics. Don’t be fooled. I think these are being sold at low “fire sale” prices because they know they have problems.I do like the fact that if this bulb gets switched off at the wall switch, when switched back on, the bulb seems to operate at its last setting, but without remote control. I bought this Feit bulb specifically because I need remote control in this location.So, in summary, great light quality, super bright, pairing is a bit of a pain, but this Feit bulb will not function reliably as a remotely controllable device as advertised.Update after 3 weeks of use as a regular non-remotely controllable bulb: about three times today it spontaneously lit up in blinking linking mode without anyone switching it into that mode. Drove us crazy. Downgraded to one star from two because I don’t think Amazon permits will zero star ratings. Time to return for refund. Save yourself the aggravation. Pass on this one.

(2025 Update)I have been using these for about 4 years now and they still work great. They're very bright and work well.This is a day 1 review. I will update my review after owning them for a few months if things change. First impression:Setup was quick and easy. They offered 3 modes to setup pairing. First is the classic "switch your phone to the wifi point you want your lights on, then set them up", second was to put the lights in access point mode: where you then connect to the light directly, then choose your wifi signal from a list. The last method is connecting via Bluetooth. It also has an "easy mode" where it chooses the normal wifi route to get them setup. This didn't work for me though, so I used AP mode. It's nice that they offer these 3 modes to choose from.I used the AP mode. Setup took only a few seconds per light. Done! It also took me straight to the alexa and Google page to add them to my rooms.So far they've been working great. Setup might be a little challenging if you're new to smart bulbs, but follow the step by step instructions on the app and you should be good to go. For me, these were replacing 2 lifx bulbs that died after 2 years. Since I was already familier with smart bulbs, it only took a few seconds to set each bulb up and group them into a room.The description is correct that in any cor mode you only get 1 brightness setting. They cannot be dimmed or brightened when you select any color other than the whites. Speaking of whites: you have a full range of temperatures to choose from.Overall I am very happy with these.

I bought this bulb because it's a high watt LED, but the color settings absolutely suck. The standard white light is excellent, it's super bright and adjustable but the color LED is no where near as bright as my other rgb bulb with half the wattage. IF you want a super bright white light, this bulb does a really good job lighting up the room. However, if you're buying this bulb for it's RGB (color) settings, you'll be sorely disappointed.***Also, the base of this bulb get REALLY FREAKING HOT, which will cause it to lose signal and disconnect from your digital assistant if you leave it on for too long. This overheating will no doubt drastically shorten the longevity of this bulb overtime.If you're going to use this bulb, dont leave it on its highest setting for more than an hour or it might start to act up.

Good color!

Al ser mi primer foco inteligente no tengo con que compararlo. Pero cumplió mis expectativas.* Buscaba reemplazar un foco led de 100 W, e ilumina excelente.* Poder disminuir la intensidad de la luz lo hace muy bien, del 1% al 100%.* Poder mover y programar la temperatura de la luz, para que en la noche la luz azul no nos quite el sueño.* El poner colores (RGB) en el foco es un plus, solo que la intensidad de estos es muy baja comparado a la luz normal, podria decir que un 50%. Se siente como un antro.Tiene una especie de parapadeo que casi no se logra notar. De ahi en feura excelente.

Pues en general estoy satisfecho por el precio, la aplicación deja mucho que desear pero cuenta con bondandes de automatización como las escenas, se requiere el SKILL de Feit para alexa el cual si esta disponible en México afortundamente, en los cuatro tipos de luz blanca que trae por defecto el brillo es bueno, en los colores es muchisimo mas bajo que en los hue de color, en mi caso yo lo compre por la luz blanca, así que no me siento decepcionado si los quieres por el color compra otros porque es una broma el color, en general si esperas unos focos cumplidores con mucho mejor luz blanca que los Hue o similares estos son buena opción, si los quieres por los colores busca en otra parte, pero por lo que cuestan no estan mal, y por cierto si son bastante grandes.

El foco es muy bueno, los tonos son así como la aplicación son facil de configurar, la integración con Alexa es buena, el problema es la intensidad, es baja.

Para lo que lo necesitaba, funciona bien.. únicamente lo he usado en luz blanca para el pórtico (da a la calle).. hasta ahora muy bien, la intensidad de luz, bien.. lo programé de acuerdo a mis horarios y no he tenido problemas, además lo conecté a Alexa
