He uses it alot
I got him one and he used it all the time. Then he was knocking off the hair in the trash and didnt know he knocked the end off. It was ready to get new anyways. So he showed me that the end was gone. And I went to my Amazon and there it was. And now its here again.

not bad; cuts pretty evenly.
UPDATE:After 6 months it is still going strong and it is still sharp. With many battery operated units, you sometimes get a tug or a pull when you are using it and it is a little painful and a pain in the butt. Fortunately I haven't gone through that with this unit. I also have enjoyed using the accessories and other attachments. The nose hair cutter is good and non painful, unlike others that are on the market.I really enjoy this because it gives a consistent cut on your goatee or beard. I use the shorter attachment for this and it works fantastic to create an even cut that looks more natural. I also like that it is so small and portable; its amazing to take on business trips which allows you to still look good even though you are on the go. For the price, you can't beat it.Not bad; so far it does the job and cuts fairly evenly. All of the attachments work well but the top is hard to change at times when you are changing attachments. The battery lasts a good long time so it doesn't drain them like other units have. I've used this for 4 months now with no complaints other than wondering if it will last very long. It's pretty light weight plastic.Pro's:-great price-durable-portable-consistent and does a good job-attachments are good too-no painCon's:-It's a small battery unit so you worry about it lasting

Works perfectly.
For an inexpensive razor it works good. I will have to mess with batteries but my other one required me to bring a plug in when I went on vacation and I had to leave it plugged into the wall or rise I would have to dig the plug out and wait for it to charge.

Poor, fragile build, but it cuts very well
I bought this to replace an earlier version from ten years ago that had gotten dull. The new one is smaller and lighter due to it's use of AAA batteries as opposed to AA. I use NIMH rechargeables. I prefer the replaceable battery type as opposed to a cord or internal rechargeables, since I can keep charged up extras nearby and swap them quickly. They seem to last for quite a while.I searched on battery operated beard trimmers, and assumed that they would all use AA batteries and didn't realize that this one uses AAAs until I received it. Fortunately, I already had some AAAs. It turned out to be a good thing, since the trimmer is lighter and a bit smaller than the old one, and better to hold. Most importantly, it also cuts very well, unlike the cheap Wahl I tried first, and as well or better than my similar older one. That's where the similarity ends though. The new trimmer is not as well made and feels more fragile. I don't think it would survive hard drop. The battery door is flimsy and harder to open, and the switch is stiff and awkward. The two cutting heads are hard to swap and feel like the small connecting parts will break sooner rather than later. The flat, small trimmer head is easier to use than the round type to closely trim a single errant hair, but it can pull, and is fragile. My very similar old one broke at the edge. The new trimmer is quite a bit louder than the old one, and vibrates more and uncomfortably. That may be because it seems to cut faster, so it's a trade off. Overall, the build quality is borderline and disappointing. That said, it cuts well and I'm going to be extra careful not to drop it. As for the accessories, I don't use them, so I have no comment.

Conair GMT175R
I was looking for a gizmo that would easily trim my beard, get rid of that pesky nasal hair without pain (or tickling), and the old geezer ear hair. There were lots of products that cost much more than this one, but given the astounding price of this Conair model I thought I'd give it a try; if I didn't like it I wouldn't be out of too much cash. But, I really like this! It works as advertised, and it seems to be well built (but read further). Haven't used it all that much yet, but so far the motor doesn't slow down as some older trimmers I've used do. Running at full speed is essential for easy and PAINLESS trimming, since a slow motor yanks and pulls on hair, and that isn't fun.I appreciate the smallish bag that comes with the trimmer. It holds not only the trimmer but also the various little attachments (and lubricating oil and a cleaning brush) that otherwise would get scrambled or lost in a drawer.A few gripes: (1) This comes in one of those "hard to open" clamshell plastic units. Don't like them. (2) The instructions provided aren't all that clear. For example, the instructions for removing the main blade in order to attach the nose/ear trimmer isn't very helpful. One has to do some things that you're quite certain will break the trimmer to get the blade off, but that's precisely what has to happen to remove the blade. (3) Getting the battery cover off takes lots of finesse too... so much so that I initially started looking for a place to insert a screwdriver to pry it off. Once again, some finesse does the trick.Overall, however, I'm happy with this purchase and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is looking for an inexpensive but well functioning trimmer for the beard, mustache, and nose and ear.

Seems solid
Owned for many years and while I dropped and the blade part came unattachedI was able to put back on and still works great.
